Did anyone else watch the programme on BBC about a post mortem showing the effects of obesity on a humans body? I usually cringe when watching operations on living people are shown on tv but somehow the post mortem was not cringe time and was a fascinating programme, completed in dignity and with respect for the deceased, but what a powerful programme to watch, I'm certainly a convert, good bye size 16, hello size 12 dresses .......

I did see some of it though it didnt put me off eating too much or make me want to lose weight. I wouldnt want a loved one of mine being cut up like that.

I watched it and found it fascinating. If obesity and the side effects continue, it won't be long before they do an autopsy on the NHS. Putting politics to one side, it cannot sustain the demands being put on it by people living longer and expecting to have more and more procedures.

The German who did autopsy programmes on Channel 4 was Gunther von Hagens.
