Can we put some fancier ways of using words in a sentence.

Someone who says one thing and then in the next breath says something complete contradictory, is there a fancier way of using a sentence like that?

Someone who is vile and poisonous and talks with extreme hatred, fancier way of saying that please.

Someone who is in denial and refuses to listen to truth or reason, fancier way for that please.

Someone who has no regard for the well being of another person and only thinks of themselves, fancier way to say that please.

I can think of one universal word for all four scenarios. It's not very fancy though so I'll defer to others

It's for an official document so kind of wanted serious responses.

There's words like vitro something I've seen banded about on here when people have been talking.

I know there's some intelligent articulate people on here so can we write some better sounding describing words.

Also emotive words to describe shock, and being worried etc.

Try one of the online dictionaries. Type in a word you have given as an idea and then it should provide other suggestions and you can check if the meanings are what you want to express.

Might be a bit easier? Will also give more suggestions than you'll get on here.

Use an online Thesaurus, that will show you loads of different words that can be used to describe something.

Sometimes adding another word for emphasis can be effective. "Profound shock" for instance.

I don't know about 'fancy' but one would be a hypocrite or two-faced. Two would depend on context - could be prejudiced or bigoted, or just bitter. I know no better way of saying three - they could be being belligerent, or deeply skeptical, again depends on context. And the last is self-centred at best, narcissistic at worst.

Is that the kind of thing you meant?

Appalled, terrified, anxious.

Check out a thesaurus or look for synonyms for common words.

Personally speaking I think it's better to put things in you're own words especially if you are writing for or about yourself. If you're not careful and you use fancy words that are not really "you" then the reader or recipient may be distracted by the words themselves rather than what you are trying to say.

Hope that's helpful.

"Can we put some fancier ways of using words in a sentence.

When someone is a hypocrite or when they are prevaricating?

"Someone who is vile and poisonous and talks with extreme hatred, fancier way of saying that please. "

When someone is vitriolic. It usually refers to things people say, but I think you could refer to a person in such a way. You could also say they are mailicious.

"Someone who is in denial and refuses to listen to truth or reason, fancier way for that please. "

When someone is obtuse? I think it depends whether the person knows the truth and is refusing to admit it or not...if you want further nuance in the word you decide to use.

"Someone who has no regard for the well being of another person and only thinks of themselves, fancier way to say that please.

"

Egotistical, maybe? I'm not sure if that captures what you're looking to say.

Anyway, a letter usually comes off better and stronger when you say things in clear and precise language. You would be better off using words you would normally use but with clarity and without emotion if you really want to get a point accross.

In that case you may be better asking your manager or a co-worker for advice. Often certain words have quite specific meanings in official documents, and the language has to be chosen very carefully.

(I just assumed you were looking for more subtle forum replies in order to not fall foul of the mods )

Agree. Particularly if it's a legal document that you may be questioned about in Court or something.

Keep it simple, honest and in your own words. That way you won't get flustered if you're quizzed on it. Especially if Barristers are involved because they will ask why you said that and why you said this etc.
