Well long story short I'm a guy who wears glasses most of the time

But I never realised it was such a deal breaker after talking to a few people.

So anybody have any thoughts?

How many is a few? Ive never once known it to be a deal breaker for a man or woman. But then do your glasses suit your face, do you mention you wear glasses? If you send a clear face pic they will see you wear glasses. You dont have to mention it. Who brings the subject up?

Really? They've specifically said the glasses were a deal breaker? I rather like a guy in nice glasses, and there are previous threads with people saying the same (although in fairness mostly about women)

And I take mine off when things start heating up anyway so don't understand why it would be an issue for a lot of people.

OP, there may be an issue with some. Our experience is as follows:

Pink has worn glasses since childhood and was teased etc for it at school.

A while back we attended a swingers club (Decs in Somerset) one of the regulars called Pink 'Specky four eyes' mid way through the evening. Pink was angry and upset. No action was taken by the organisers despite them being aware of what happened so we left.

In our experience this childish playground type behaviour is all to common and prevelent amongs some; despite being completely unacceptable.

I've never had any rejection because i wear glasses and i wouldn't turn someone down for that reason either.

The only problem i have found is a clash of specs when snogging. Easy enough to remedy - one or both just take them off

That's the first I've heard of that. With a face like mine we tend to find people with dodgy eyesight a blessing

I suspect they just didn't fancy you, and latched on to the first excuse they could think of. I'd definitely redo your face-pic without the dog-collar though, I can see how people might find that a little weird.

(Personally I spotted that the shirt-collar wasn't right for a real vicar... )

Whether or not I wear my glasses doesn't make a blind bit of difference to whether or not people fancy me. I've been vacillating between glasses and lenses since I was a teenager and think I look OK both ways.
