My top 5 DOA. No particular order, but PAC is the GOAT.

Pac

Nas

Rakim

Krs-One

Jay Z

I'm mostly into underground hip hop. Little Brother, Mos Def, Reks, J Live etc.

I just think lyrically it's boring, the flow could be followed by a three year old and it all generally sounds the same.

Disagree!

Stormzy is very skilled and it's clear it's taken him well over a decade to get to the level he's at. Have a listen to 'Charmaine' by Plan B, far from boring and not in the same league as Stormzy but appropriate when discussing such and a great first listen.

Grime is an art, especially the top end stuff but, yeah, there's a lot of crap grime about.

Him

I don't follow it at all, I've tried having a listen, my brother is a big fan but it just doesn't appeal to me. Not sure of the artists but it's all...man dem this, man dem that.....just don't like the flow and how it's structured either.

A lot of the stuff I listen to is just for the bass, artists such as tyga etc...ridiculous amounts of bass

I thought I was going to see Wiley at Glasto a few years back but he wimped out (pussyole lol). I did see Skepta, Lady Leshurr, Stomzy and WSTRN this year though. Best part of my Glasto despite the awful mud!! I've seen Dizzee several times and Lethal B in Perranporth recently.

Biggie - because he's a story teller

Tupac - because he was a teacher

Jay Z - because he's lyrical and outlasted them both

Will smith - because he keeps it clean like hip hop was when it started

Out Kast - because there that good.
