I spent the last year or so listening to every cd in my collection, properly listening too, not just background music. I really enjoyed it. Some I hadn't played in years and a few gave me lovely, unexpected flashbacks of people or places.

Madness' is a "grower"...I'm a big fan (seen them 50+ times) and it's taken me some time to get used to it...there are four or five tracks that grab you immediately but the other eleven need a few listens.

Green Day's I like...haven't listened to it for a while..but would definitely recommend. Seeing them in Hyde Park next year

Do it! I had to work at it and remembering where I had got to wasn't always easy as I was working from several different shelves. But it was well worth it.

I frequently listen to an album in its entirety.

Yesterday was Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Getaway.

An older favourite of mine that I listen to regularly is Mansun, Attack of the Grey Lanterns. Love it!

I think the only album i have literally listened to from start to finish is

The streets - a grand dont come for free.

Not because i think the songs are good but because that album is actually a story from start to finish if you pay attantion to what he is saying.

The problem with some of the old gangsta rap albums is the recording quality on them isn't great.

Had the demo from NWA and the posse playing the other day and it sounded gash!

I was meaning no matter what speakers you've got some of the older stuff will still sound awful because of the recording quality.

Search for that demo on YouTube and you'll see what I mean
