was thinking about organising a social possibly in warrington was wondering if anybody could advise about what type of things needed to organise such an event.

for example do you need to have a dj or food or can you just arrange for people to meet in a pub or hotel bar and is it advisable to contact the venue about why so many people are coming to thier pub etc

many thanks for any replies

(She/ her) in Sensualityland

From my experience it may pay off to limit the numberscand possibly have a theme but not necessarily fancy dress (Altho that can be fun)- you could call it a convention of something or another.. be creative... DJ is good but not essential there are other ways of having a hoot Remember most people would like to get to know others so they might want to talk ? Good luck x

can i make a suggestion.... just to help you in the long run...

Go to one and see what they are like before even attempting to do one of your own.... reason being you can talk to other organisers, they can give you the pro's and con's and you then get a better understanding for what you are possibly letting yourself in for.....

islington

depends on what sort of social u are aimin for rele!! if it is purely a social to put faces to names then it can be held anywhere!! if its going to be more personal then yes seperate room or enclosed bar area would be best..

once u decide on venue check out local hotels, if u are planning on doin food, then charge a small admission to cover the costs.ie £10 each ... music is good as most like a bit of boogy but make sure there are quieter areas to chat.

hope this helps bomb xxxx
