I think you'll find that it's the cheating German (not) that is the one who's been proven to be doing the driving into his team mate.

He's still a better driver despite his tantrums. What he's pissed off about is out of all the Mercedes engines supplied to all of the teams his is the ONLY one to have suffered failures, not just one but a few. The engine fire prob cost him the title.

Rosbergs a decent driver, not in the same league as Hamilton imho

Agreed! In the BBC days, they`d show fuel usage and even when he was playing catch-up, Hamilton was consistently using less fuel than anyone else. This can only mean he was using the car and not the engine to gain ground! It also meant he could push harder at the end of the race if he had to because he had more fuel to use.

I'm with you, I don't mind his petulance. It comes from a desire to be a winner. Rosberg whinges his bollocks off if he loses and is smugger than a smug thing when he wins. They're both the same.

Don't see how it's any more or less predictable or boring than the years that Red Bull and Vetel dominated or any team that had the cheating Schumacher behind the wheel or any other team over the years that managed to make the best job of interpreting the rules until the other teams caught up.

When Lewis won his first WDC in 2008, McLaren failed to win the WCC. So hardly a far superior car.

Eddie Jordan is a fuckwit and spoils it;

One moment he is giving some opinion ( supposedly because he was once a team owner and thinks he knows everything about F1) and 30 seconds later gives a completely opposite opinion.

New just In...

Riciardo promoted to 3rd after Vettel was given a 10 second penalty for a "dangerous" move on Riciardo.

Ironically the penalty also puts him behind the little shit that is Verstappen.

FIA really doesn't help itself in positions like this. Seb was right to tell Charlie Whiting to "Fuck Off".

Because F1 is a massive entertainment business; bike racing doesn't have the massive sponsorship, nor the huge corporate presence as a business oriented spectacle.

Can`t say I agree with your comments at all!

Aiming expletives at the stewards et al should be punished which may have cemented Vettel`s demotion. Footballers get booked/sent off for bad language aimed at officials, why not F1 drivers. As for Verstappen, I think he`s another brilliant driver who just needs to hone his already impressive ability!

To be fair to BT other than Keith Huewen (surely they could afford Parish) I find their coverage pretty good, all three classes live plus qualifying plus free practice and the tests too, even the irritating double glazing salesman has stopped being so annoying. Was a bit shifty moving it to BT 2 though.

Nope. Been watching it from its heyday in the 80s. Through to the farce it is nowadays. My interest has waned in it as it is a procession most races.

And I still don't think that Hamilton is that great. Stick most good drivers in an exceptional car and they'll win the title. Mika Hakkinen proved that.

Hamilton is probably a better driver than Rosberg, but most people belI've Alonso and Vettel are better than the dummy spitter Hamilton.

I still hope Rosberg wins the title

Rosberg only won the title this year because of the reliability issues that have plagued Lewis.

If they had both had the same number of failures this year, Lewis would have taken the championship a few races ago.

And, I don't think anyone is a deserving champion if they need to resort to driving their team mate off the track.

Sorry, but as soon as Nico started doing that, I lost all respect for the man

And, I don't think anyone is a deserving champion if they need to resort to driving their team mate off the track.

Sorry, but as soon as Nico started doing that, I lost all respect for the man

Go Jenson!!!

Exactly that

Verstappen in to partner Hamilton next season?

Or tempt JB out of retirement?

Only just seen this story, bizzare decision or an admission that it's about all he as good as he can achieve and it's downhill from here on?

I think this is perhaps the bravest decision that a professional sports person can make. He has reached the pinnacle, we can argue about whether that was "deserved" (I actually think it was, even though I am a Brit Driver fan), but where else is there to go?

F1 is a dangerous sport, it takes lives. He has a young family, has accumulated the wealth and lifestyle associated with risking his life and come out on top. At the age of 31, having become a world champion in a sport that only 22 people can compete in each year, what would be next?

Although I know he isn't on Fab, I say Good Luck Mr Rosberg, well done for being world champion, but well done more for re-prioritising your life too, enjoy your retirement, enjoy your family.

Personally I think that's a cowards way out. Just goes to show that the guy is a complete bottler and that Lewis really has fucked with his head.

A real champ would have at least stayed on for another season and at least attempted to prove that he's World class. I didn't have much respect for Nico on the best of days but his decision to quit at the top is a joke.

For me it also fuels more fuel on the fire with how this season has progressed, with Mercedes favouring Rosberg over Lewis.

Anyway it's done now. One less boring winger to give interviews pre and post race.

As for his replacement. Alonso has to be in the frame as he's probably the only guy with a cause in his contract to leave.

As for Bottas, he's simply average and will definitely play the number 2 role to Lewis.

So it all depends on what Mercedes are looking for? An equal status number one or an average driver to allow Lewis to do his thing?

Verstappen or Alonso in the Mercedes would be good. I doubt the dummy spitter Hamilton would beat either of them in the same car.

Still making me chuckle all the comments about baby Hamilton's reliability issues meaning Nico won the Championship. None of his lovers seem to mention how many points he lost because he couldn't start properly.

"Bring on Button! "

He seems like a really genuine guy. I cant see him coming out of retirement, he has a nice ambassadorial role with McLaren.

I would love to see him on Top Gear as a presenter

yeah Hamilton has some issues his engine for 1 and all his shit starts + his team bringing him in for a change of tires when they didn't need to costing him the win. But look how he raced say the last 5 or 6 races and how many points he got back just proves Hamilton is a better racer than nico. How many titles has Lewis won again that's right 3 and nico or yeah just 1 did Lewis retire after his first title win no he came back and won it another twice. Nico has no balls because he knows he'll never win it again.

What kinda shit are you spouting.

All F1 fans are now hoping a young guy gets the seat at Mercedes now so Hamilton has to raise his game...... He hasn't had to do that since his early days with alonso.

I wish Verstappen could get the seat.... Then we would see the real Hamilton

What's to laugh about? It's FACT, the ONLY reason Lewis did not win this year's title is giving up 25 points in Malaysia. There's no ifs or buts.

On top of that, Lewis also incurred a total of 65 grid place devotions due to failing of varioud ICE components. Nico suffered a single 5 place demotion all season.

So DON'T talk crap man

... because Rosberg scored more points?

Mercedes will take Wehrlein or Ocon for a year then go with Vettel once his Ferrari contract is up.

I for one am happy for the chap, so well done Rosberg, hard luck Lewis, work on those starts eh?

Having said that,

that would not be the best car,had it not been for Schumacher.

Do you remember when the best car was a benetton.

Sometimes the driver makes the car.
