Hi all,

I was thinking about this earlier, what do I actually get from fab? What does it do for me and what is the attraction?

The answer, certainly from my point of view is deeper than what I expected.

For me, it's an avenue in which I can meet fun friends. I like meeting new people and I like the whole social build up that leads to fun.

I find people to be very interesting and I love learning from them.

Chatting to women can give me a large ego boost too, I suppose that is also an element which adds to this site's addictivness.

A major thing for me too, is that it allows me to find someone who shares similar interests to me or who is at the same sexual 'level' as me. I suppose the main drive is that, finding someone at the same sexual 'level', if that makes sense.

I suppose the draw is the possibility of finding something special or even 'perfect'. It's that which keeps me coming back.

Anyway, what about you?

I guess we all may get different things from it but for me it's an opportunity to discuss sex and sexuality in a way that I couldn't on other forums or with vanilla friends.

It's also provided an opportunity to physically explore my own sexuality both as part of the couples profile I'm part of, and hopefully now as part of this new solo profile.

Add to that some much needed light relief by way of parts of these forums and it's now become my go to site over and above the likes of FB and Twitter....I even pick up most breaking news of any importance here!!

I have met some lovely people though which is always a bonus, and is what keeps me coming back I guess

FAB is probably my social media if that makes sense. I don't use FB anymore, my Twitter account is for my photography.

I post here on the forums and I chat to a few privately. One or two have become friends.

This has become a go to place I guess which takes me away from quietness of living alone.

They can be...which is why I said "parts of the forums"...I tend to take the approach of sneak quietly into a thread and if it's gone a bit gladitorial sneak back out again closing the door behind me....unless of course it's a topic that takes my interest and I feel I can add something to, in which case I'm happy to go all Maximus on them...even if my body shape is more akin to Frankie Howerd in Up Pompeii!!

Fab has given us some awesome friends, some wtf moments and plenty of laughs in the forums and such an ever expanding collection of pics and vids that we've had to save them on a separate hard drive as a memory stick was too small

I was talking to one half of a couple about this yesterday and I said the best thing for me to come out it is the friendships and it was the same for him. I didn't really know what I was joining for when I did, I liked to just chat with others in the chatrooms, never thought I'd end up meeting them. Some I met 4 years ago, some 2 years ago and I have a great social life with a few of them.

I said when I have a weekend to myself I'd rather go to a club or a social than go out up the town, or to a friends house (that isn't on the scene), because they're really good nights. The group I socialise with all are there for a good laugh, a natter and anything else is a bonus. We do a variety of things together, not just stuff within the swinging scene and it makes it much nicer.

They joined to build a new circle of friends, as their current group were all going off and having young children, so they were no longer getting involved with doing stuff, or very rarely. Now they have several friends that have come from fab.

I'm a single mum to a teenage lad, I work unsociable hours. Don't really get much in the way of conversation from the dog either!

I don't dislike my life, but it's far more fun with fab in it

Initially I joined to meet people for sex. I never even looked at the Forums until very recently. I spend a lot of time on my own so for me chatting and laughing with people in here is my little bit of "me time", escapism from a very stressful life. I have a close group of girlfriends who know nothing about my "secret life" so I cannot talk to them about this. But Fab does have it's pitfalls. I'm quite a trusting person and not very confident in myself so I have found the Forum chat quite challenging at times. Not everybody is nice and can say hurtful things. However, I'm a very sexual being so it works for me talking about it in here and, on the whole, I enjoy it. And flipping heck, my pics seem to get a good response and that really helps with my self esteem as, prior to joining this madness, I never really saw myself as sexy!

It's a massive confidence boost that does it for me... after six years on this site of met some fantastic people, and had the good fortune to 'meet' a few of them too...

It is a form of escapism, that allows me to come out of my shell, and be as flirtatious and as complimentary as I like with like-minded people.

I genuinely think that the 'fab' me is the real me - but it's not the sort of person I am in my day-to-day life (especially the flirty side of my personality)

So I have to say that Fab (and my Fab friends) have given my the confidence to find out who I really am.... oh yes and the sex is superb too (..when it happens)

Mate, it's not so hard on here, it depends on how you view it and what your attitude is like. The biggest issue is standing out, but even that isn't as hard as what a lot of men make out.

Remember this one thing: We out number women on here something crazy like 40:1, BUT!!! A massive majority of those men are instantly completely ignored because they have not understood the basics!!!

I did this once! The time I went to Townhouse, I met this girl, we were just chatting, etc...

I left without getting her phone number (I couldn't find her). I thought I'd have no chance of finding her, but the day after, she tracked me down on the forums somehow and we started chatting again!

I feel there are two main overiding motives why people are on this site and in the lifestyle ; people have many motives but there always seems two be two main motives (gauged from speaking to peoples)

A) Sex most people are on sites like this for that reason.

B) other motive that person hokds. for me that motive is freindship and meeting people.

Over the years I got different things. First I got pure fuck and go sex because that was what I needed. Then I met my OH on what should have been a tuck and go, and we didn't go .... now it's a mix of a laugh and banter on the forums, seeing how crazy people really are and the occasional link to a first rate event or meet to keep us topped up ....,

people change as a result of fab. I know I have what was a to make me feel confident about myself and to fuck like minded people had changed. it always surprises me when people say I look good or whatever.
