It makes far more sense to me for whoever to be proactive,.. looking for what you seek rather than reactive waiting for him /her coming to you.

After all you know what you're looking for far better than any descriptor in your profile text..

Seems logical to me anyway..

I have noticed the amount of unprompted messages I receive has risen significantly since I became a forum regular. It's the best way to get noticed

I've looked for men and women before and initiate the conversation (quite often poorly!). I find it easier to find what I'm looking for if I do the searching. I don't understand why anyone wouldn't to be honest? The only group I will no longer message first would be couples due to a disappointment when I attempted to previously.

I dont go looking for them ..i like to have a perv ...i mean look at there profiles have a fab at there pics if they are good ..tend not to message them though i just move on to the next

Usually just sift through the messages looking for a suitable play mate. Most profiles don't have public face pics so most of the time you message a decent sounding profile and end up with a reply off someone who doesn't exactly do anything for you.

i don't need to look now but i used to. tends to be not much on anyones profile when you go looking on here, although i've noticed some improvement during my time on this site.

you're more likely to get more attractive guys if you look yourself, according to dating science.

I'd say that's the general rule for 90% of guys....and it can take alot of patience. Most women wait for the guy to show interest.....none of us like disappointments....but I think guys can handle it better, or more used to it so we just get on with it.
