do you think its rude not to reply to any mesages that you recive even if the answer is no thanks ,

we have had so many people who contact us then just deleat our reply ,we think this is very rude and gets my back up ,

what do you out there think .

No it's more curtipus to reply back .However if it's just one or few words from someone as in hi one liner I wouldn't bother myself as they haven't really bothered to think themselves in making an effort .Other than that I always reply xxx

i always reply to any message. just common courtesy i think,but a lot of people dont bother. even if someone says im not there type,i always respond and say thanks for letting me know and gud luck with your search.. but everyone is different..

yeah i can see both sides it is nice to be able to do what we would all normally do in everyday life ...but what if your a single fem getting 70 mails a day and replying then re replying to the same why not question ..and then the abusive reply ...i can total see where they are coming from ,when they dont reply

There might be a reason but it has to be a damn good one ....... couple looked at our profile this morning, sent us a friends request and as they also had a meet tonight posting thought we would contact them. They read the message within a few minutes have looked at our profile twice since and not so much as a word!

we understand the amount off mail singel girls get its when people contact us first and we do the nice thing and reply then get our e-mails deleted wich we find very bad form ,

also when we contact others we allways say if not intreasted then please say no thanks so we can move on the amount of people and couples who dont is very high .

we work very hard to reply to all our mesages as soon as we can and never miss a meeting , but to be fair as we are a couple we dont think we are as inundated with e-mails as a single woman , but it takes 1 minet to reply saying either no thanks or will get back to you .

I come online for my pleasure... not to keep everyone else happy responding to their needs. If it starts feeling like hard work and spoiling the fun of it for me... really why should I do it?

Yes, when you reply thanks, but not thanks or similar, that should be the end. I guess those that reply with something again (no probs, thanks for the reply, nice to get a no thanks even if it is a no thanks etc) are just a pain

I agree with u I have 80 messages still to open. Hundreds awaiting a reply. I need a PA to be polite to all these guys! I find it easier to reply to the definite not my type messages. What do I do with all the guys I like the sound or look of as I haven't the time to say like u but don't know when I can chat or meet. Any ideas how to deal with unique situation I find myself in. Some don't even have pics or verifications so what me to go on msn but when will I get time for that. I've been off work ill this week and still haven't got on top of it all.

those ones are fine...sometimes its even the start of a nice conversation..its the ones that call you a whore at that point that tend to be less welcome. If i could be bothered to reply to them again it might say something along the linrs of "yes a whore you wanted to meet a couple of messages back"

That's so very true...and people come on here for fun also...so why get upset over a few unreplied messages? They don't reply...move on to next person...even if they were interested...it's their loss...:D

This website is suppose to add fun/excitement to life....not to make it more tense and disturbing real life...and that...no amount of others action will help....it's all you....just like jealousy...:D

No it isn't rude. Nobody has the right of a reply under any circumstances, we're all here of our own free will and any reponses that we get from a message need to be regarded as a Privilege and not a right.

We reply if we are interested in the person who messaged us - If we are not interested - we don't reply and if people don't like that idea - we don't care because, to us, swinging isn't the be all and end all of life, it's a pastime, nothing more, nothing less.

Oh btw - we don't give a bugger if we message people, as we often do, and don't get a reply ...

i am sure this has been said before on many a thread, eeryone is here for there own reasons. if everyone was the same it would be so boring. if you walked up to 10 people in the street and said hi how many would you expect to say hi back. just because its a swinging site doesnt mean they have to have reply or have sex with everyone that messages them. not sure if that made sense lol

i got about 77 mails in a day, replied to one..... so to yr reckoning i should of spent 76 minutes of my life replying to the rest to say nope ... i dont think so , i used the 76 minutes to use and abuse the one i wanted lol

Does no-one actually read the opening post anymore?

So many comments seem to deal with the situation of "seeing a profile, messaging the member(s)and getting no reply"

But that's not the situation the opening post is asking about. At least not how I read it.

Seems to me that the OP is talking about people who have initially contacted them . . . the OP has then replied . . . and the member who wrote to them in the first place has just deleted their response.

It not 'quite' the same thing surely?.

Or to put it another way . . . .

1. Someone knocks on your door, you don't have to answer it. Fair enough - maybe you peeked out the window and decided you don't like the look of them.

2. Someone knocks on your door, you answer it and say "hello" and they walk away without a word. That's just weird.

I try to answer everyone but don't always as I move to other things and forget

So sorry to those I have ignored,we very rarely send mail to anyone but would'nt be bothered at all if we did'nt hear back

We just take it that they're not interested......its not a big deal to us
