Looking through profiles I see quite a lot of women who class themselves as a BBW. Some of them I deffo would not class as Big at all.

It makes me wonder if a lot of the women see themselves as big when really they aren't

What is classed as big these days?

Women seem much harder on themselves, than blokes eyes would warrant.

Ultimately its how the woman views herself and if she wants to use the label.

Again is personal interpretation as to what a BBW is.. for some its a clothes size and for others its the overall appearance of a woman's shape.

All of this is of course subjective.

So long as the photographs are accurate then i guess its just personal preference

I think BBW should just stand for bloody beautiful women because everyone has beauty in them. A persons perception of what's beautiful stems from themselves so if they see beauty in themselves they'll see it in more people around them.

Thank you, I think the angles are good that's all, but I know that it's a self esteem thing. When someone says you're alright for a big bird, or fat women shouldn't go on top it crushes you a bit X

It's a strange one for sure as most of us see size 0's on the tv, in magazines etc and think that anything over a 12 is huge, then on the other hand we see photo's on here of ladies who are 16/18/20's who look so damn sexy and voluptuous and in proportion

I'm a large lady myself but even I have been told I'm not that big by some guys I've met in the past, I suppose in the end it comes down to the person who is looking at you at that moment in time and their own perception of size

If I called myself curvy I'd risk being insulted. I've been told many times that curvy is being slim with wide hips and a small waist. I'm not that so I don't call myself it.

I dislike the term bbw but it is used a lot on sites like this so i put it on my profile. Not all big women are beautiful and not all beautiful women are big.

Like a lot of ladies i have had body confidence issues but I'm a lot happier in myself since i joined fab. It's a boost knowing people find you attractive no matter what size or body shape you are.

So most labels don't fit individuals

When I first heard the term bbw, it was a label for those that wore a dress size of 18 plus

Like what you like and don't worry past that I say

Personally not a fan of labels to try and define people.

No idea sorry but I know in myself I'm short and fat.. I'm bigger than the bikini pic at the moment but at 5'2 size 14/16 is big.

"Looking through profiles I see quite a lot of women who class themselves as a BBW. Some of them I deffo would not class as Big at all.

It makes me wonder if a lot of the women see themselves as big when really they aren't

No idea sorry but I know in myself I'm short and fat.. I'm bigger than the bikini pic at the moment but at 5'2 size 14/16 is big.

The average dress size in the UK is a size 16 so technically that should be average. The solution however would be for women to provide profile shots then there would be no misinterpretation of descriptions...

I'm fat. My description says curvy, that's because there isn't a 'fat' option and I don't really like the word 'large'.

However, size is subjective and what you see isn't how other may see themselves.
