Never needed 'training'.....my technique is to lay on my side with him behind, place one leg over his and tease it in slowly always keeping control over how much I take. Lube helps but as I've only usually done anal in relationships I find natural vaginal 'juices' help

lots of lube take your time and if your going to invest in a butt plug buy solid glass or metal they are both easier to clean, don't stain, more hygienic and can be heated or chilled for more pleasure

Take it slow and stop if she tells you too. Butt plugs are great start off wearing them for a short length of time then increase the time worn and then increase size of plug.
