If this is all there is to see on a profile, does it put you off?

If they message me I relentlessly mock them...

I love it as it tells me all I need to know about how lazy someone is.

I'm sure they still get "hi, love your profile" messages though.

Yes. I'd expect someone joining the site to be eager to sell themselves and get stuck in. Someone here for more than a day or so, it's not really excusable.

So many other people to consider who do make an effort and have some sel-awareness

I've only ever read will fill in later on a guy's profile.

Sometimes it's laziness I guess. Then again a lot of people are intimidated when it comes to writing. They don't know what to put or how to put it.

Worse than this is when it's accompanied by a "Joined" date that's more than a week or so old!!

Both of us have recently set up single profiles and about the first thing we did before making them live was to write the profile blurb - as others have said your profile is your shop window so don't really understand why you wouldn't use it as such.

Have seen it on both male and female profiles to be fair

I'd like to now when "later" is? A day or two old profile perhaps you can get away with it but months old not so much.

They should read the forums. Just this minute received a messaged saying hi. Looked at profile and all it says is, Kik available . That's it nothing else.

Yes. Especially when inevitably the profile is over a year old.

If we got a message and someone had that as their profile, our answer would be 'reply later'

So you don't feel like engaging in lengthy conversations with these people? Why ever not! They are a blank canvas ready to be corrupted.

Oh well your loss

"will reply to this later."

I have sent a 'will properly later' to a message from someone where that's what they had written on their profile

He actually got the humour and said 'fair point'

Took some time to fill mine out. Makes sense afterall your trying to sell yourself. "will fill in later" says to me these people want a quick fix and arent sticking around.

Nope profiles don't bother me, I'm more interested in seeing what they look like then getting to chat to one another.

If they can't be arsed to sell themselves, their skills are going to be limited. No matter how hot the pics
