"Sushi, just the thought "

I ate sushi for the first time in NYC in 2005. Not a fan of fish but I'd spent a week off my rocker doing unbelievable things in the desert and figured one more new experience wouldn't harm.

Lovely

"Oysters"

I was at my American millionaire's place trying to cook a meal once. His beautiful kitchen is just for show, to be looked at rather than used.

So I was berating him for the lack of a colander, sharp knives and other implements...

"Well," he shot back, "If they'd been looking for an oyster opener they might have been pleasently surprised!"

The two oysters I ate came from a scabby old caravan perched on the key-side at Cromer .....

Lots of things. I eat with my eyes (not literally) but I'll decide just by looking, if I think, I'm going to like it.

I'm incredibly fussy when it comes to food.

Well so far I've tried everything mentioned ...

As with most things in life, I'll try anything once and twice if I'm not sure...

I don't like the sound of sweat breads or brains though

"I've never tried Fondue ... "

We were given a fondue set as a wedding present. The 'rules' include having to give a kiss to everyone if your piece of bread falls in. We tried it once, but in the end felt it was easier just joining Fab for that sort of thing.

(plus whenever I suggested we moved on to 'Anal Ring Toss', it never got the same degree of acceptance )

My parents got caviar one Xmas in the 90s? Fancy stuff. Expensive.

I thought it disgusting and fed it to the cat. My parents went ballistic.

I'm not sure whether my parents ever had me try shellfish but otherwise I've never had oysters, mussels etc - I find them revolting.
