It's a test...your reaction is important here. If door slamming takes place best to keep your distance and mouth shut. Guys you need to sense when it's best not to ask "What's wrong?".

This is what our teenagers do .... not us. I dont think all women do this, just perhaps the ones who can't communicate with their OH ... not sure its always their fault though

This. I've never been one for outbursts, but my kids do....a bit of understanding and a cuddle goes a long way to someone's needs being listened to....

I don't do drama and I would tell you what was wrong.

However, if she assumes you should know then it means YOU did something wrong.

Best way to deal with is is to give hugs, apologise and then carefully try to get her to spill the beans on what it was.

If it is something you didn't know was the wrong thing to do then explain that calmly and ask if there's anything else you're doing wrong.

Once everyone is chilled you can tactfully bring up things that bug you. If this results in renewed hysteria then find someone new

I learnt years ago that I would get absolutely nowhere saying "nothing's wrong / you should know" because 9 times out of the 10 they didn't have a clue what was wrong.

Tell someone if you're pissed off, allow them the opportunity to rectify it in an adult manner.

Seriously my ex did this as few times to test me - she was quite insecure and told me later it was to gauge my reaction. Eg why did i not run after her when she slammed the doors and stomped off?

After 3 years getting increasingly more shouty etc I called it a day.

I'be been known to door slam back in the day. It's very therapeutic but plays havoc with the paintwork.

I also used to explain what was wrong with me so folk were quite clear as to what it is that they had done to piss me off. The door slam is like the full stop or exclamation to the point i've just made. I'm quite fiery when I get going. The make-up sex was always amazing

I blame my mum. She once threw a tin of baked beans at me in temper, I ducked and they smashed through the kitchen window and sat in the middle of the car park (we lived in maisonettes).

I don't door slam now I have kids though.
