Yes it bloomin' is.

My mission every year is to manage to avoid that bloody annoying Coca Cola lorries advert until roughly Christmas Eve. Grrrrrrr.

Bah Humbug.

However; it's never too early for Muppet Christmas Carol.

I'm a miserable sod when it comes to TV adverts - Halloween = October only, Guy Fawkes Night = November only and Christmas = December only.

Far far too early...and Xmas commercialism seems to be getting earlier every year, our local Tesco has had a Xmas half-aisle now since late August/early September which is flipping ridiculous!! The argument that is rolled out to justify this is that it allows shoppers to spresd the cost of Xmas, which I can relate to a little, but when the items in question include things with a sell by date of late October/early November (like mince pies) that argument goes out the window!!

Not really, organised people make rational choices. adverts are to get you to spend more on stuff you didn't know you wanted

How would a law that doesn't allow for Christmas adverts or songs to be played on the t.v or radio until 1st December sound?. This would include shops adverting Christmas too.

I shit you not where I live I've got houses setting up lights etc ready to be switched on. It bores me to death. Plus it annoys and scares me as it costs me a fortune. Peer pressure off other kids I'm a single mum and my son wants a £400 coat. It's hard at Xmas not just financially but mentally for a lot of people it can be a lonely time. Yet for others it's a beautiful wonderful time. X

That is right and yeah, putting up xmas lights is too earlie, it can be really expensive too, especially if you got kids, we just give eachother about a £10 gift and nice family dinner.

no im kind of a living in the now moment kind of person, extended periods of artificial over excitement about consumerism do nothing for me. Christmas is about making the odd little dream come true or the magic of giving, or being with friends and family and being thankful for what you have..not about weeks of rushing around attempting to satisfy the emptiness of modern life, by buying loads of crap for people to be ungrateful for, after 26th december, while you eat porridge for a month afterwards to pay for it, not my bag, roll on spring x
