Too young?

Ok for me personally age is purely a number, it does not equal anything other than years spent on this planet.

So when I get approached by someone and then in reflection they decide that they are too old for me, I kinda feel a little let down.

Without going into detail I have grown up incredibly fast and early, I have interests that do not match those of my typical age group.

I tend to be physically and mentally attracted to those older than me, and do not lack experience in having encounters or long term relationships with those older.

So my question is to the general population of fab, random encounters or long term relationships does age really matter if you can click with someone?

I had kids very young so have grown up fast and don't feel like i have anythin in common with alot of people my age. Therefore I prefer older. I wudnt say age is just a number tho cos I very rarely get involved with men my age or younger

I don't think she should be a barrier. But it's up to each individual person. You can't force a relationship where one side thinks it wouldn't work.

i don't think it matters too much. my relationships just ended up the guys were getting younger than me by a bit more each time, we got on and had similar mindsets so it worked.

now i tend to go for more nearer my age, no idea why but i guess i had to dwindle down my options and that seems the easiest way.

As much as people say age is just a number the fact is we all have our preferences and you will be too young or too old for some.

For me i don't want to meet anyone either old enough to be my parent or young enough to be my child and a lot of people on here are the same.

The best thing to do is make sure you fit into their preferred age range as stated on their profile.

If they then decide you are not for them just move on. There are plenty more people on here to chat too and maybe meet if it's right.

Just a thought though - maybe the age thing is just an excuse and they had other reasons for not wanting to meet.

it's actually a sexual attraction to humans that have not started puberty.

most humans have started puberty by age 13. not that i condone it, just saying that's what it actually is.

so very older people going for very young* people might be considered a predatory act depending on how that goes (hence the derogatory terms cougar or cradle snatcher), but no way is it peadophilia.

*young as in over 16 and legally considered able to consent to sex.

For me it is about the connection and the person. I've had a relationship with someone younger than myself.

However I don't have any children so I can also see the point of parents who have kids of the same age as some people on here.... that could be a thought.

You can come across a very mature 24yr old and equally a very immature 45yr old. Age is just as number so if I have chemistry with them then it works for me

We consider that under 30 is not immediately acceptable, although it would depend on the person, or couple.

Having said all that given the right circumstances in a club and who knows.

I think what we are saying is it is nice to have some principles but we are a pair of filthy fuckers and once we get among it well usually anything is possible (within reason).

I am 58 and theres life in this old bitch yet,i am having more fun now in my older years than i did in my younger years,and i shall continue to do so,not ready for a zimmer frame or commode yet,live life to the full no matter what age you are,as you get older the time seems to go a lot quicker,and the sex gets better as you lose your inhibitions,i even surprise myself these days lol.

This thread is similar to the numerous ones on young men finding older women attractive and the women proclaiming they do except it seems to be more common in FAB land for that to be ok. I haven't really experienced that many issues (women and men a good ten years older) and more often than not my age works in my favour - I don't think age matters but I know everyone has preferences. Find profiles where they are more open minded on age and save yourself the disappointment.
