I have a few.

A crooked mouth,a saggy chin, a lopsided belly.

I'm ashamed to say it's only now at 43 I'm beginning to accept my imperfections, celebrate them even.

Who wants to celebrate with me?

What are your imperfections?

It's liberating.

There's a poem by a Canadian poet called Shane Koyczan.

I'll need to look it up.

It's powerfully enticing in its description of the ordinary you.

I can't see mine, plus it was from an operation to improve me so not an imperfection, more an upgrade!

I have a few too - some wrinkles, eyes that aren't sure if they're green, my arse is a little big, skin tone that's pale and sometimes get eczema on legs, wonky nose a somewhat crooked tooth - I could go on.

But it is better to accept all with grace, including others' bits and bobs. There's a heart in all of us.

Where do I start?

Are we allowed a continuation sheet if I run out of my word limit on here?

As the OP says you have to accept your imperfections - many of mine I can do absolutely nothing about, and those that I can I do try. Now and then. Until I lapse. Then it's my own fault.

So criticise me for my imperfections that are within my control - but accept those that are outside my control.

Saggy belly, with stretch marks.

Hips too wide.

Bum too big.

Breasts beginning to sag.

Hate my feet.

Disordered mind.

Irrational at times.

Clumsy.... To name a few. But I accept my flaws, they are what make me who I am, and without them, I wouldn't be able to recognise my good points, and appreciate them

My biggest imperfection is my self-perceived image of myself. My body issues, intelligence issues, wit issues etc, and the resulting perpetual need to post in a forum as a result, in order to get attention as I can't seem to self-satisfy (no smirking) my craving for adoration and being accepted.

It's true. Please love me!!

For us swinging is funnily enough part of the reason we've dealt with our imperfections better -seeing everybody else just getting on with it is inspiring.

Although my malfunctioning brain is still something difficult to deal with lol.

I am only just accepting all of mine, there are a few...

Lopsided smile - have a scar in my smile line from a misadventure as a child so one side is slightly more pulled than the other.

An over bite - a head brace was not for me in my teens so I still have it, just sneakily covered by a beard these days

Burn scars on my left shoulder - another misadventure as a child and a tea service

My right eye is slightly smaller than my left, you probably wouldn't notice, but I do

Some other scars on my left arm from a misguided attempt to deal problems in my teens

Little scar in my eyebrow - people think I shave it in, I don't

So a few I guess, but they are part of me so I accept them, and most have a good story behind them and I love a good story.

Too many to list imo. My biggest one used to be my build. Got to me loads in my 20s been very slim. Tried nutritionists, hard regimes and just couldn't really gain enough weight. Just ended up with a gut regardless of how much work I did in the gym.

I've now accepted its just me and the way I'm meant to be. Much more relaxed now and hopefully it shows.

"Too many to list imo.

and happier for it.

In Japan they have a phrase that represents and celebrates aesthetic imperfection, wabi-sabi.

It celebrates asymmetry, roughness and simplicity whilst appreciating the ingenuous integrity of natural objects.

I think it's very apt here.

What does the uvula actually do?

I had an infection in my uvula causing it to swell.

That was unpleasant.

Chippenham Malmesbury area

When I was younger, I started to grow a boon on my right hand side. If just joined the army, so communal living, no private space (except the toilet). I got very self conscious about it and it took me years to feel comfortable about it.

In my late 20's, it became painful so it was removed. I now have a debt in my chest which is even more noticable than the the lump but this doesn't bother me one not, even though it looks odd.

Op. as much as I can see imperfections in people, and they exist as we see them, that's why I listed what I think mine is.

There what make us. Those little touches that attract. A persons smile has me every time. Especially when s beautiful woman is wearing that smile.

"I am only just accepting all of mine, there are a few...

Well if it's any use, I can perhaps study these scars and other interesting things to confirm them.

I got lots of grief when I was younger for wearing glasses, hair colour and being so tall.

Now I'm older these things are desirable apparently! Who knew!

I definitely feel like I've grown into my body as I've got older, I look better at 28 than I did at 18! Maybe that jut my perception or wearing clothes that suit me better etc, I'm not sure

Loads including jelly belly, scar on back from surgery, scar on my top lip from being a clumsy sod and a numb leg & foot from nerve damage which on occasion makes me fall over ....I swear it's absolutely never ever wine that makes me stumble!! Oh and I can be a bit of a grumpasaurus first thing in the morning until I get my first cup of coffee (or a good spoon!)...but these are all just tiny parts of what makes me me and mostly I think I'm a pretty decent chick

It's meant to catch stuff that's too big from going down your throat and cause you to gag I think.

My uvula is particularly over zealous and swells like a balloon, always good for a couple of days off work though and a nice steroid injection in the throat lol.

Can't imagine what having a split one must be like.

Sounds very cool, and I would t see it as an imperfection, more an awesome talking point.

Not sure there's enough space to list them all here!!! But..they are what they are and I am who I am, take me or leave me.

Either way I don't bemoan them overly, but where there is something I can do about them am doing it, or plan to do it.

The biggest imperfection I had was being overweight until about 18 months ago and having lost about three and a half stone since then that one's been dealt with.

Ditto smoking which I quit 5 months ago today.

Next up is working on toning my body up a little....once I get round to sorting a gym membership!!

I'm an emotional coward with stretch marks, back fat and giant (for a girl) feet, disproportionate boobs that haven't been perky since I was a pre-teen, and a distinctly snarky tone.

And I'm slowly becoming less and less apologetic about all of these things!

It's a truism that nobody's perfect.

And further, I'd say that the way in which we see ourselves is distorted, not accurate or objective.

Personally I had an epiphany in 2000 (which I can't exactly share here) that went a long way to help me understand and be comfortable with myself.

So if you can stop worrying about yourself and concentrate on making the other person relaxed, everything flows much easier.

"

Vertically challenged and Weeble Shaped.

Scars

Hair that won't behave

Funny little toe on left foot.

Knobbly knees

I snort when I laugh.

My nose is the wrong shape for my face.

There is more but now I am a little depressed

My face twists into a lopsided gun when I grin.

Problem is that I take very little seriously, so I grin *a lot*

"I have a huge imperfection, it's about 5'8 with big muscles and a beard and it's called Templar

Tease

Why does that sound like you're inviting trouble saying that and don't care?

You know me too well (besides 3000 miles distance right now so I'm feeling cocky)

But ill be home soon, I suppose fear can be a potent aphrodisiac

Oh I say.

Lucky girl.

Can I be in trouble too?

"

Tease can deal with you!

I don't spend time thinking about my numerous imperfections any more - life's too short. I'm perfectly imperfect or imperfectly perfect.

Beard

I read bed instead of beard.

My whole body is an imperfection, but I need to make do with what I've got.

"

I have a few.

A crooked mouth,a saggy chin, a lopsided belly.

I'm ashamed to say it's only now at 43 I'm beginning to accept my imperfections, celebrate them even.

Who wants to celebrate with me?

What are your imperfections? "

I've got a lopsided smile and only one dimple. Also one wonky tooth.

Scar tissue on my face means I can't grow a beard. (That's a good thing BTW)

I like me, just as I am....

I have various scars from child hood accidents and Mr does too. When they happened I hated them, now they're little reminders of life.

London and France

Have just spent some time looking at myself; I can find no imperfections whatsoever.

I am utterly perfect.

I guess my main imperfection is that I am so modest.
