I've got to ask as I've seen on lots of profiles people are saying they are clean showered & smell nice & expect anyone they meet to be the same.

Really is this necessary?? I would never meet anyone without being shower fresh, clean hair, shaved & smelling nice in clean clothes.

What I want to know is have people put this through a revolting experience??

Not a pleasant experience at all.

You would take it as a given though, however I have first nose experience it's not always the case!!

We haven't had this problem

But have heard a few horror story's from friends on the scene that they had guys turn up not clean and scruffy and definitely not washed in key areas

Needless to say no play happened

What's even worse though, there's showers in the clubs! I don't understand for the life of me. The smell of urine hit me right in the back of the throat and I had an eye water moment!

As you say, you would think that cleanliness is a basic given requirement for Fab meets. However, I have often heard of many "horror" stories of people (both men AND women) turning up unscrubbed and expecting play and then getting all huffy and offended when they were politely refused.

As you said too, YOU yourself couldn't imagine turning up dirty to a meet, but it just goes to show that not everyone is brought up with the same principles, and there are a lot of folks out there with no sense of decorum, not to mention poor hygiene.

Like all walks of life, people vary on standards and what they consider ok. Yes you would think hygiene was a given but it's not for some.

We went to a club once and there was a guy there that completely stank of bo.. it was pungent! You didn't even have to be that close to smell him. He followed us round for ages too.. horrible! I understand why people put this as there are definitely some people out there with no shame

It's never happened to us, but we've heard all sorts of horror stories.

Maybe it's society in general. I remember when I was temping a lot and starting one new role, I had to go through the company induction.

The trainer leading the induction was going through expectations of behaviour and mentioned making sure to be wearing clean clothes and being bathed etc.

Other people on the course got offended at this as they understandably found it patronising. But the trainer had to explain that they were forced to do this due to previous new starters having no understanding of basic hygiene.

If someone turns up unclean I assume they don't actually give a monkeys. Total turn off and there's no excuse for it

once had a lady come to a meet after work, she had been working at a newsagents from 6am the meet was at 7pm she said she had come straight to mine after work ,

the whiff was horrendous and was most upset when I did not want to play

Surely there must be an underlying issue there! I know I don't smell after that long .. but I would still shower before I met someone - what's an extra half hour
