Any one no any good cures , had a headache for an hour now not getting any better, tried paracetamol no joy !

this works

You can prepare it and put it in tupperware in the fridge to keep fresh just in case or even scoop some into sandwich bags, tie them off and freeze, it'll last for months

Highly recommended

As long as it hasn't turned into a migraine,I had a really bad one late Sunday come Monday was up all night and sick safe to say I spent the most of Monday wasting it asleep.

Have a drink of something fizzy. It helps the tablets disolve and work ... according to the consultant i saw.

Could you be dehydrated? My usual advice is drink as most headaches are caused from dehydration. Paracetamol and a dark room, cold flannel etc on head is good too

The night before going to bed. Don't open that bottle of whiskey. That sometimes helps.

I get severe migraines and only thing that helps is imigram which I get on prescription now. However you can buy them over the counter but only after consultation with the pharmacist and filling in a form. It's an expensive way to buy them as you only get two tablets for about £8 .

But as others suggest, plenty of water, make sure you have eaten....... or head over bowl of steaming water with eucalyptus plus sinutab if it's a sinus headache.

Frozen peas on your head and go to bed x

2 of my friends suffered with migraines terrible, one had her daith pierced (a weird part of your ear) she said it stopped her headaches so my other friend had hers done and neither have had headaches or migraines for a good few months now.

I've been considering this too as I've heard good things about daith piercings for migraine.

One thing that (sometimes) helps for me with a migraine approaching is concentrated slow breathing - deep breaths and then slowly exhaling - into a paper bag for about 20 minutes. You can get a similar effect by nestling under a duvet and cupping your hands across your mouth. Something to do with carbon dioxide dilating your blood vessels and may be worth a try for your headache
