Poor Seve has finally lost his battle and died aged 54.

A great golfer who will be truly missed.

RIP Seve.

A sad loss for golf, sport and the rest of the world. Just like 'our Enery' he was the cream who rose above the rest

i saw seve play so many times over the years he was my golf idol and ive never seen a more handsome man in my ilfe ... my favorite memory of him was at wentworth last time he played there ...resplendent in the iconic green slazenger pullover he marched on to the green to a huge round of applause ....and the little lad standing next to me said to his dad ..."what was his name again dad ????" we all smiled and so did Seve!!and when he holed out his putt he walked over to the little boy and handed him a signed ball...... im shedding a tear here ......MaY you now rest in peace Seve..the good die young .....X

Rest In Peace Seve.

Seve was a total legend and inspiration to many.

From learning the game hitting rocks in a field to ruling the world of golf as World Number 1, at the time the youngest winner of The Masters and numerous worldwide victories and Ryder Cup heroics as player and Captain.

The word "genius" gets bandied about but in Seve's case it is absolutely fitting. Arguably the game's greatest ever short game player and an incredible matchplay opponent.

European golf owes pretty much everything to Seve and his passing is so sad.

RIP Seve.
