Yes but same people like to make a point of it, if I see a thread I have no interest in or subject that does get my back up, I leave well alone, plenty of other subjects going on to comment about.

I have sometimes wondered if simply having everyone ignoring them would work. But I know how it makes me feel when someone does it to me, and just as I am beginning to think maybe I'm the problem someone else pops up and says something supportive.

Maybe a compromise would be if everyone quoted the funsucker and just said "twonk".

Though then we'd become "The Twonk Clique".

Or others would pile in to say they had a valid point, and call all the Twonkers "dweebs".

Perhaps we should make one, measured comment, and then ignore them.

But I'm overthinking it again aren't I?

I'm on the fence with this one.

Whilst it can be annoying if a mood Hoover comes along and sucks the fun from the thread if we all ignored the threads we disliked then we'd never have some of the interesting debates that can arise.

we are I guess it's not about taking the forums too seriously and just enjoy it for what it is, I have a stressful real life so come on here for a bit of banter...I try and not piss people off however at times I have been a bit blunt towards others but I do try and treat others how I would like to be treated myself....

If I started a thread about a thread I disapproved of to make a point then wouldn't someone else start a thread about mine & so on......it would be a Lounge filled up with rolling eyes emojis & disapprovals ~ rather boring.

It's an open, inclusive forum, that to me is the whole point of it.

In my _iew threads get diluted or go off in a tangential direction because of the wide caucus that is fab. If you post a statement, opinion or question I wouldn't be surprised by the strong opinions that will flow. Verbosity is not an issue on FAB forums as some replies are, shall we say, straight to the point?

If someone adds a meet thread for instance say for example asking for BB and then the thread ends up with people telling the OP he shouldn't be doing it then that is the time to go make your own thread to dicuss BB and leave the meet thread alone. Or other examples of a RIP thread or Birthday thread for people who are on the site then they should be left alone for what they are.

If a general subject is being posted then people have to accept that not everyone will agree on it and may so so.

Of course if someone is disrupting that thread for devilment thats different again.

Well I saw a thread this morning and I thought oh that's different, wasn't negative in my opinion, but it had a comment on it bringing it down and I thought "why". I left it and thought I'd comment later when I had more time, but it's no longer there, so low and behold it must have turned sour and for what reason I have no idea, as it wasn't a thread giving an opinion.

The point I was making is every guy that supports me is lambasted for white knighting. What's good for the goose etc.

And no, the point in the other thread was to tell the person in question I knew why he tried to piss me off at every opportunity.

Why not just ignore those that you don't like, sometimes you go from thread to thread and it's the same people having the same arguement on different threads...would you do that in real life run to different places where they were and say you have pissed me off because of A,B and C....

Could we also have clarification on filling up threads with flirting? When I joined, I was warned that Fab doesn't tolerate it at all (other than with an OP), and am still a bit paranoid about saying "ty" to a compliment about our pics when we don't meet their mail criteria.

And I'm not actually criticising anyone to be clear, this is such a rare serious question that I don't even know which emoji to use!

Recently there's been a run of OP asks a question, someone replies, loads of people start flirting, someone else mentions the clique hijacking the original thread, all hell breaks loose, someone else takes it personally and goes off in a huff.

It was common on Dogging, but used to be very rare here. But it may just be I'm reading different threads nowadays.

Well thats totally different to the question you asked about saying TY for your pic compliment.

As like everything , nothing is black and white so sometimes a definitive answer is hard to give. Like I mentioned up there if there is disruption of a thread for lots of reasons ( not all mentioned up there as I could be there forever ) then people could fall foul of the rules, but flirting isn't against rules.

i find it very hard to ignore something if it's roused my indignation. I don't get indignant often, but when I do I do. I do try to keep it civil.

This is why I wish if you block someone you wouldn't have to see their forum posts either.

Saying to ignore a thread, if you've already seen a comment that has made you feel a bit miffed is easier said than done (for some).

I don't have a beef with any particular forumite, but some do and I really think it would help in that case.

I've been noticing this exact same trend. It is recurring at a high frequency and can be tiring (all of it, not the flirting or the claims of cliques alone). Maybe, like you, it's more a matter of perception for me, rather than intent by others. I dunno.

take the disagreeing out of the equation and it will just be a post full of thumbs up how boring .

I don't take offence to anything said to me online by lets be honest here strangers in fact I enjoy the debate and truthfully respect those who stand up for what they believe in voice a opinion on because like I said with out such behaviour the forums would become boring and stale in my humble opinion .

Hmm. I think you can still make a valid point whilst being annoyed. It's when you keep harping on that it becomes totally annoying and fun sucking. And makes me revert back to the 90s in my head and do the whole Vic and Bob "you wouldn't let it lie!" routine."

I just noticed 2 threads that are are the same, one started by a woman and one by a man, it is the usual kiss and avoid, she did one in the launge, he did it in the swingers chat and guess what? Yes, the woman got all the the kisses and the man the opposite, it is getting too predictable lol.

I like the contentious posts and different opinions.

All the regular arse kissers, white knights, voices of reason, jumping on anyone with a different opinion, it just gets boring.

The flirty going off subject posts are annoying, and don't get me started on the ones posting "get the popcorn", haribos, etc, i roll my eyes and think grow up!
