...watching the Wright Stuff where a teacher has been sacked for protecting a child.

After reading Rugby's thread about the child with botox, I wonder who and how our children should be protected.

Common Sense is no longer applicable apparently

what mad things have you heard/witnessed recently as a result of the current social theme of over-egging the rule book?

The world has gone mad no dicipline no bounderies I work at school and if a child comes and hugs me I cant hug them back I need to have my hands in sight plus if another mum comes into playgroup she cant take a child to the loo.

the girls at my sons nursery give my son hugs and kisses..they are like an extended family to him and i wouldn't want it any other way.

One of my assistants is gay. We got in the lift one morning with the Director of Personnel. My assistant was wearing a lovely cornflower blue silk shirt. As I would with one of my female assistants, colleague or friend I simply said, what a lovely shirt, love the colour and touched his sleeve.

When I was getting out of the lift the Director called me aside and told me as a manager my conduct was inappropriate and I could be charged with sexual harrassment because I complimented a male colleague and touched him.

You couldn't make this stuff up could you.
