Been reading profiles.

As the subject title says I've been looking through quite a lot of profiles, mainly couples who I've looked at in the past just to see how they're getting on here on Fab. I've noticed a few, four actually, that have a status or a mentioned in their profile about couples they've contacted either don't reply back, cannot come up with a meeting date or turn down a meet.

I just wish that others would realise that generally speaking most couples have busy lives, children and other family/friends commitments that sometimes makes arranging a meet very difficult. To get two couples with similar predicaments being able to get together can sometimes seem almost impossible.

Happiness comes to those who wait.

Couldn't agree more.

We can play several times in one month or once in several months.

As well as trying to coordinate with other couples, trying to coordinate opportunity with inclination is an entirely different challenge.

Its not just couples who are busy. Try being a single parent where you have to do all that and more on your own. Happy fabbing

Not meeting

We've made it clear on our profile that we're unable to meet at the moment due to illness so we don't waste anyone's time. Still getting messages though!!!

To be honest this is one of the reasons (amongst others) that we meet spontaneously at clubs - no endless consulting of diaries to select a date that works for everyone...and that's before you even consider you have to do it twice before actually playing if you want to have a social first (which we would). At least going to a club you already know the others there are going to be free that night

This is THE answer and thinking of considering having that down on our profile. At a club you can have your 5 min social before taking things further.

I tried to meet a couple recently had met them socially - arranged a date, the following Saturday. I asked on Monday where did they want to meet and they suggested that it could be social with a play and they would let me know where, they didn't contact me till late on the Friday in which I didn't see it till Saturday morning saying a localish pub

By then I had made family arrangements and they wanted to make it a social only.

I was like ummmm sorry thanks but no thanks. They could have said sorry for taking a while to get back to you and I would have probably been ok with that but nothing, and on reply they were like oh ok....
