Do people class smoking a ecig as actually smoking or not?

I thinking there should be a catagory for people who vape/smoke ecigs? Just wondering thats all

I would rather the forum administrators concentrated on making a useable modern mail system.. than yet another category....

(dear admin this wasn't a dig... honest but I had to delete 18 pages of messages yesterday, and yes I use the save function, but even that page is starting to grow!)

I think people should explain within the narrative of their profile.

As for is it or isn't it. ..

I class it as smoking and and I don't really want to be surrounded by anyone's vapour no matter what flavour you have!

It's neither smoking or non smoking, it's just a nuisance. Big clouds of watermelon steam floating about, I mean who has ever smoked a watermelon or any fruit for that matter (banana skins being the obvious exception)

I (mr) vape. I class it as a form of nicotine patch. Thereby it's helped me to quit smoking.

I think when people choose to meet non smokers it's because of the smell. So vaping has the potential to be the same

I class vaping as - vaping

It is definitely not smoking. For me it is a stop smoking aid just as patches or nicotine gum are.

I do think those of us who vape should put this in our profile though. Some people hate it and should be given the opportunity to make an informed choice on whether or not they want to meet us.

It's no different to any other personal preference someone has and if they choose not to meet me because of it I don't let it bother me.

But I wouldn't like a cloud of it in my lounge on a meet!

I don't allow smoking and I don't allow e cigarettes.

If you select smoke or non smoking I believe that it's only fair to say that you vape. ..

Vaping is 95% better than smoking, but it is still 100% worse than not vaping.

The BMA are still pushing for an outright ban in all public places, so I think before you start in someone's home, you ought to at least warn them.

I vape but consider myself to be a non smoker these days, however I would never vape in someone else's home if they didn't also vape. Good manners says that I go outside the same as I did when I smoked.

The advantages of vaping is the smell doesn't linger on my clothes or in my hair in the way that cigarette smoke does. And this is from colleagues who didn't know I vaped until they saw me, saying that the smell doesn't linger.

Some will and some won't.

To be safe, it's best to mention it in your profile and in the first few messages. That way, you won't waste time chatting to those who have an issue with it.
