Hate it, and all it stands for, so many different things chucked in together to make money for the already rich, pagan tradition hijacked by the Christians, hijacked by the media , hijacked by the money making arseholes. Sad.

I used to love it, then spent over 10 years working in retail where Christmas starts in June so hated it.

For the next 10+ years I grew to love it again. I went back to retail about a year ago and I'm starting I get peeved with the Christmas fuss and nonsense again

Not good is it,for me it's also the issue with my girl's who they want to spend it with mum or dad. It's their choice, generally it was alway's with me,then they would go to their dad's on boxing day. Then one decided she wanted a change which is fine, but it's still waking up xmas day without one of them. My youngest has said she's with me,that may change if I have to tell her off for some reason before the day . The joy's of divorce!

I absolutely hate Christmas and everything it is commercialised, sickly, it's about how much money we spend and how much Crap food we can ram down our throats in a 48hr period.

Coop had Christmas stuff on the shelfs in August.

Buy the time difference December 25th arrives the Christmas spirit is long gone.

But then I am a miserable grumpy bastard and will be starting my annual "I hate Christmas thread" soon.

On the flip.

It's too fucking early for the C word!

But I do like the last couple of days before it, getting to catch up with friends I've not seen for a while and one of my locals does a big party on Christmas Eve which is usually a good laugh. And Christmas dinner is nice too.

But I don't like how Christmas has drifted from its Christian roots and become far too commercial and about presents and material things. And I don't like how competitive that can get, I've heard of people taking out big pay day loans to stretch their budget.

I'd much rather people gave money to charity than buying tat that they don't need.
