The police do not go around inventing rape allegations, they merely react to allegations made to them and then obtain and present the evidence to the CPS who make a charging decision. What make you thinks senior policeman would sit down in front of a victim and pressure her into making a false allegation I'll never know. That just does not happen. The CPS will only run with a case if there is at least an 80% chance of a conviction at court, that's a fact. If the police had told the alleged victim that there was no case you'd probably still be slagging them off for other reasons, they are not judge and jury, they obtain and present evidence, that's it. A jury found Evans guilty, not the police or the CPS. | |||

I have been banging on about this case since he was charged first time around and my opinion has not moved in inch since day 1. The girl was put in a very vulnerable position by the NWP and CPS and they need to be brought to account for this. There was no evidence, no crime scene, no complaint and two guys admitted to having sex with a girl but she couldn't remember. What make you thinks senior policeman would sit down in front of a victim and pressure her into making a false allegation I'll never know. That just does not happen. The CPS will only run with a case if there is at least an 80% chance of a conviction at court, that's a fact. "She was too waisted to give consent there for it is rape because she was in no state to say no and she couldn't remember. They based it on cctv footage which showed her being carried into the hotel. To be honest if he wasn't known it wouldn't of made it to court in the first place. Young men are relatively clueless when it comes to respecting an overly itoxicated woman. Being as she never verbally said no he probably took it as OK. Does that make it right though? It may not be out and out rape but it is abuse and completely taking advantage of a vulnerable person. How are those 2 scenerios different? Both include being too d*unk so therefore it would be deemed taking advantage.
Because it's the difference between consent (rape) or not . Example, d*unken man gives you £20 in a pub, you take it, in the morning he can't remember giving it to you , have you stolen it from him?

"[Removed by poster at 14/10/16 18:54:40]" I said at the time when Jess started sticking her nose in she should keep it fucking well out, she only had her name on a stand at the SUFC ground because the club recognised what she did in her career, when she started dictating what and who and it affected the club financially the club acted quickly and got her name off the stand, she doesn't go to watch united but was classed as a united fan, I doubt very much she has been to the ground since or will ever again in the future.Jess is a near neighbour of mine and I see her regularly in the village we live, I'm also a season ticket holder and shareholder at SUFC so I probably have more of an insight than most and my position still stands, "Jess, keep your fucking nose out of business that's not yours" | |||

"Just got home and seen the news . Of course he was not guilty , an absolute joke that he was convicted in the first place . It only took the jury 3 hours to clear him .
