I'm weird

So apparently I'm weird according to my younger brother because when I cooked scrambled eggs I do it on the hob rather than in the microwave 'like normal people'

Am I part of a hob-based minority? I thought everyone did it this way!

Eggs, butter and a pan is the only way.

Then piles of smoked salmon and cream cheese loaded on top with enough black pepper to make people stare

Not everyone uses a hob but its the best way to make a bit of scrambled egg. Cos in a microwave you can't keep it stured so it clumps up wen cooked in a microwave. Also using a hob you can add extra ingredoince and mix it in propley un like a microwave.

(ps) i work as a chef.

Murchour gratted chedder works best with a pintch of pepper but you can use any cheese you like. as long as you use a hob you can add almose anything to it. I no a felow chef hoo puts a dash of chilly source in it to give it a kik.

My Own Little World

Can't stand microwave scrambled eggs. I have to get them cooked just right and you can't do that in the microwave, there is a very fine line between undercooked and rubber.

Tell him you like them with Marmite and that'll either make things ok again or completely send him over the edge.

It's quite definitely the hob for me, as the texture is much better when constantly stirrred for those few seconds whilst cooking and moisture is lost in the dry heat too.

Iceland, but Aldi is closer..

Both methods are Ok if you know how to cook them...if you don't, pan cooked or microwaved poorly cooked scrambled eggs are awful.

Microwave trick, set the power to 50% and stir every 15 seconds.. Cooks slower so you don't overcook the yolk.

Gonna throw this one in the mix, boil in the bag in the kettle..perfect eggs every time.

Now who's the crazy one!!
