Mid-life crisis?

Are you having one?

Or if not, what are the signs?

Balding middle age Execs buying themselves sporty soft-top convertibles?

40 or 50-somethings heading out to the latest techno-clubs to mingle with (and dream of pulling..) the teens and 20-somethings?

No? What else then?

Me? Joining a swinging site to meet lots of lovely ladies. Possibly? Hmmm ..

I'm confused if I midlife crisis is a good or bad thing.

It starts - I do something to change my life for the better. And it's labels something I thing sound negative.

Midlife crisis.

I like to think I have life changes throughout my life, monotonous lives must feel so stale why not change things and be overtly different to how you were. Get some excitement.

Me? I'm starting a rock band. I've never been in one. Always wanted to put on a gig. Is this a crisis?

I'm heading for 40 and have no plans on getting a motorbike or a tattoo or anything pierced.

But given that people will start talking about it I thought I'd plan ahead so I'm going to start making plans for the Fire and Ice Ultra in 2019.

260km across Iceland including sleeping in the bowl of a dormant volcano sounds midlife crisis enough for me

My dads my midlife crisis was awesome!

Tattoos and bought a Porsche 911

I can't wait for mine!

Does it mainly effect men? My mum didn't have the classic midlife crisis.

No (not a fan of insurance) and as you hint motorbikes are one of the most dangerous methods of transport.

If we are talking outrageous boys toys, trying to shag anything with tits and immature behaviour...... then I started my crisis in my teens and it shows no sign of stopping any time soon

I always look forward to my mid life crisis.

Apparently bald

Flashy car

Hot young ladies

The idea that somehow I was going to get given a flashy car and some hot lass sounded great and as I shaved my head anyway bonus.

I think I fucked up though. My car is a bit crap and I don't drive and after ten+ years shaving my head, I'm actually not bald and have now grown some hair (not long, a nice short haircut. Took me 45 years to find a style I like). I'm actually disappointed to find I'm not grey yet.

Ok I now go gym 3-4 times a week (wish started earlier, 45 is a bloody hard age to start weights) but that's more a case of "I've had 10 years of enjoying the buzz of people looking at wiggles and finding her attractive while swinging", so woke up and thought dosnt she deserve same? Why be the typical fat hubby with hot wife, we so often see at clubs and wiggles loves muscles, so why not get fit.. turns out I rather enjoy the workout.

I did date a 18 year old, about 15 years ago. Sex was hot, but her friends drove me nuts.

I'm still far too young to have a midlife crisis.... Keep waiting for Pauls... He actually seems to be quite level headed for a old guy, and however much I suggest tats to him he still isn't partaking

My advice: go for it, do not assume you are too old, but listen to your body...and to your friends! Just don't dye your hair.if you are a man!
