Am i being immature?

Been doing a contract job loading lorries for 2 months, then was finished along with 2 others. Now doing a job for less money and hours. Just found out the othe 2 are back at the first job with yours truly missing out. I am going to call them later today, question is: am i being immature feeling annoyed/ upset? I know its a dog eat dog world.

Well you could call them - I guess there's nothing to lose.

I'm sure you know this anyway but don't get a hissy fit if they don't take you on again right now - you don't want to burn any bridges for the future!

Only the employer knows why the other two were recalled and you weren't. Were they proactive in keeping in touch? Either way, if you contact them be professional and make them aware you're still available if anything comes up.

Don't become petulant/whiney...you don't want to tick them off.

I'd say feeling annoyed or upset is perfectly natural, where maturity comes in is how you react to the situation that made you feel that way. From your responses so far I would say that you're being mature about it.

If it's agency work they obviously didn't want you back on that job. Throwing your toys out will probably achieve little more than puss off the recruitment company so consider the potential repurcussions

What if they tell you the reason you didn't get asked back is cause your work was shit or no fucker liked you? If you can handle them telling you the truth then go ahead and find out. If you're going to get all pissy and upset then best to forget about it and get on with the job you do have
