Have you got a linkedin profile as that could help in finding work and people in that line of work

Did you drive for any particular industry? Apply at HQ or use that as a selling point?

I've worked in admin for ages even though it was not what I was trained for.

My advice would be to apply for admin roles in fields where you have experience. If you have experience with certain fields, even from a non-admin position, they are more likely to want you because you will understand their work.

East Sussex

Try for some temping, agencies will really push you forward and although you might have to accept some pretty mundane work at first it could lead to more. Try to find out which agency your local council uses.

Best of luck

Kind if what I meant to say but with six times the amount of words.

Agree with Lib and MC's suggestion - and yes, voluntary work can definitely help -- to build experience to talk about at interview/references etc - but also as it increases your network of contacts, so if volunteering let people know you are also really keen to hear about paid work opps (people are good at passing ideas/opps to people they know) -- it also helps your confidence whilst you look, as maintaining your optimism and hope is so important whilst jobseeking (although tough) as you need to meet each opportunity freshly without the build up of frustration you may be feeling. Good luck OP.
