Well actually we do have the power to make a change in something I'm passionate about currently:

Some may know, the Homelessness Reduction Bill is set to be debated in Parliament on 28th October. The Bill is supported by the cross-party members of the Communities and Local Government Select Committee and represents an opportunity to reform homelessness legislation in England.

Unfortunately, at the moment, many homeless people are not considered a ‘priority’ under the law, meaning that they are often turned away with little or no help when they approach their local authority. The Homelessness Reduction Bill aims to change this. It will make sure that councils have a duty to prevent and relieve homelessness regardless of priority need, extend the times that households are considered at risk of homelessness from 28 to 56 days, and require emergency accommodation for people with nowhere safe to stay.

However, if fewer than 100 MPs attend the debate on 28 October, it will be possible for just one opponent to ‘talk the bill out’. This means that it could be scrapped without even going to a vote. The debate is on a Friday, when many MPs would normally be working in their constituencies.

So how can you help?

If you would like to contact your MP to encourage them to attend the debate, the pop on the Homeless Link website where you can source a template letter and more information!!

To stop unions being above the law, especially with the southern railway mess they are in and make it illegal to increase travel cost as they have to stand like sardines with no space and poor service.

If you insist........

If I had the power to mak 1 law I wood make a law to benifit my self in meney ways. Selfish I no but its Cos.... well I've always been the out carst and the 1 left behind wear everyone seems to tak advantage of my good natcher then I end up at the back with nothing as thay tak all the fun and glorey.....
