Since applying back in march for my divorce I have a date for then decree nisi, ironically it's mine and Adams anniversary!

That's great news. Hubbies ex drew it out for nearly 6 yrs. (stupid women!) and is still trying to control our lives as they have a child together.

Although congratulations seems to be the common word here, I'm saddened that the relationship didn't work out for you two.

When relationships go sour, there's always 3 sides to the story, you never find the truth of why it all went so bad.

Hopefully you will be able to put a full stop on that part of your life and begin a new chapter with hopefully long term happiness

Oh we know where it went wrong, we were both to blame over the years. We are both in relationships and we are both in a place that we are happy, I'll be happier once that last string has been cut though as he can stay have a certain power over me that he knows once the divorce is done that's it, the only thing that will connect us is the kids and we've sorted that out with hardly any issues and any we did have, they have been ironed out.

It will be nice to close the chapter

I know, what are the chances of that happening and even weirder, all our married life everything nearly revolved around the number 8, our wedding was the the 8th, two of our sons has 8 in their birthdays...
