So who has turned it on, and who is still toughing it out?

Or who is finding more "social" ways to keep warm?

Heat on before December? Fuck no! It barely gets cold enough to turn the heat on at all in this country, I'll be damned if I do it before Thanksgiving!

Not on yet.

Mrs ddc wants to turn it on, but since she used the batteries from the electronic radiator valves in her rabbit, I've told her there's no point.

(talk about hoist by your own petard )

Mr ddc

Not a chance, this flat is lovely & warm. Just wear a T-shirt most of the time, if it gets a bit cooler, I just stick a sweat shirt on

Omg! Once, yes only once, I 'borrowed' the heating batteries (when no one was looking) Then I did the decent thing and bought my own rechargeables.

Who's still holding out? Mrs ddc is starting to drop less than subtle hints, so I don't think we'll make Thanksgiving afterall

Thank god the thermostat is password protected...

My Own Little World

I have the heating on for a couple of hours in the morning, makes it easier getting the kids up for school if it isn't cold. And again in the evening.

Couldn't warm up yesterday afternoon so it was a choice of doing the ironing or putting the fire on.....needless to say Mt. Ironing is still there

Tbf, this time last year we didn't even have a window

I'm going to be gutted this year when I can't leave a massive buffet on the dining room table over Christmas, safe in the knowledge that the room rarely gets above 7 degrees.

Here's hooping we cruelly get gas central heating sorted soon... 18 years with storage heaters, they are crap and don't heat a thing!

Glad to get into the car this morning, heat on full and warmed up to a comfortable level at last.
