"I work maybe five hours a day, four or five days a week. Work about 3-4 weekends per year but they're usually good earners so don't mind. " It sure helps when weekends pay more.its hard to get up on a Saturday.

"I do not believe in the 'dignity' of hard work. Very few people work in heavy industry or down the mines any more, and that wasn't necessarily dignified work. We are largely engaged in service jobs or working for large companies as small cogs. Think about how much of your work is irrelevant. How much time you spend shuffling bits of paper or emailing such and such about such and such. I see all this potential, and I see squandering. Goddamn it, an entire generation working call centres, waiting tables; slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need. We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off. I think our time could be structured much better... " What he said I've never put too much importance on "stuff" I'd much rather have time. It would be nice to have stuff and time .... but I'm happier now I work less x

" Sadly people do kill themselves to earn a decent wage nowadays but rent and mortgages are very high and the cost of living is high in this country compared to other countries.we live in a very stressful, money focused society.money is what pays the bills though not fresh air but people generally overwork themselves which is not healthy.

"I do 40 hours a week (40 minute, break each day not counted) with a 3 HR commute, so almost a 12 hour day out of the house. I work pretty much every weekend. I have my kids on my days off in the week, which I adore, but I wish I could see more of them. Which is why I'm trawling the job sites at the moment as I need to get my work/life balance on an even keel." Fair play good luck with the job hunting.
