turning up on time waiting a hour to fine no show what do you do?

after days of planning texts never a call always they was to busy to talk but not text, anyway i went over took 0 mins there sat a hour no show no text except one saying hang on there soon, and after a hour drove home taking a hour back by then traffic build up, reported to the site they blocked the girl i am talking about shes not even verified why not a ban, anyone help out here please? i will post any results sites send,

Sorry that's happened OP it's a really shitty thing for someone to do. If I was a betting woman I'd stick all I had on that in fact being a man you've been conversing with. It happens all too often.

Learn from it; don't meet unverified, insist on a phone call, whatever you have to do to make sure your time isn't wasted.

But most importantly forget it and move on, there are lots of other profiles on here. Don't let one ruin it for you.

If you didn't speak to her, she may have been a dude. She was obviously okay handing out her number for you to text, so to not talk on the phone, would have had alarm bells ringing for me, personally.

I'm not sure there's much the site can do. They won't want to get into adjudicating whether someone's excuse for not showing is valid and anyway she could just set up a new profile.

I feel your pain it must be crap. Not much you can do but move on and try and learn from it I guess.

Look at how long they have been here for, if over 3 months and STILL not verified by an actual meet, then I would always assume they are either A) a fake B) a fake or C) a fake!

Too many fakes on here, seems about 90% of the site are males, some posing as couples, and some just plain fuktards who like a wank whilst texting on here.

You're meant to report and block, then let the site deal with it. We had a lot of this when we were starting out on a different site, we just used it as learning curve. We've had much better luck on Fab, using what we learned. (tips that have already been posted above by others)

Also you are understandably frustrated, but don't take it out on the forum - everyone here were newbies too, and most have also had to learn the hard way.

Good luck in future, but also, realise that sometimes you make your own 'luck'.

Any meet like yours, I would suggest going on the basis it'll be a no show, so arrange to meet somewhere you want to go and make a day of it anyway.

It's all about risk/reward. The more I know about a woman the further I'd travel. Luckily I've never been stood up but it probably is luck. It also depends what other options you have and how interested you are in meeting her. Unfortunately as guys we don't have 50 messages a day pouring into our in box so we don't have the same luxury of setting take it or leave it conditions (unless we just want to sit here as single guys waiting for couples to 'come and get us'). That probably means most guys have to take more risk. It's shit but that's what this site is like.

It does sometimes come down to luck. I made arrangements with someone who was verified, we chatted on cams, on the phone and messaged every day for a few werks. He still didn't show up. Came back with his excuses days later. Can't trust some no matter how careful you are.

Always plan to meet someone at a pub or club then if they don't show you haven't entirely wasted your night. I'd never meet anyone who wasn't photo and meet verified though but if you decide to risk it it is highly likely they won't show statistically.

I would not do a meet where there has not been at least one reasonable phone conversation to validate your match, interests and plans.

Any rush to go to a change app is likewise more prone to fantasists. I'd prefer to take my time and possibly lose out than be rushed into a poorly executed process that's more driven by someone else's ulterior motives.

I'd spend ten minutes maximum waiting for someone who'd not confirmed anything - but only if I was already going to be in that place.

We learn most effectively from our mistakes. They can be lifelong lessons that we never repeat - let this be one of yours op and let it go.

And I'd not discuss any individuals that I'd reported to admin - keep this confidential, always. This forum is open to everyone, so discretion is a valuable asset.

i once had a guy well verified do a runner on me... apparently my expectations of a guy lasting more than a few minutes and wanting a good 3sum with a capable guy was to much.

Op it happens and its crap...but just dont go to far and only go somewhere you would have gone anyway..

Learnt this some time ago. Those that have been on here a while. Questionable pics or none at all. No veris. Not interested in a phone chat first. Lol.

I had arranged to meet a bloke once off another site, when I got there he was waiting up the hill watching for whoever turned up, he saw me and walked away. I went home, he had Texted "are you coming" lol

A couple messaged me and after a couple of messages they asked for my phone number, and face pic, and they'd give me theirs so we could chat instead of ping-pong messages. They called me and said they liked my face pic and we made arrangements to meet.They then sent me their face pics. Meet was set up for two nights later for a social. On the night I arrived at the venue about 10 mins early. Got a pint in and waited. About 20 mins after the agreed meet time I got a call from the male half of the couple to say sorry would be late due his wife being late back from a hairdresser appointment but they were on the way and would be with me in around 15 mins. One hour later still no show and no phone call. I called them but the phone went straight to answer phone. Tried twice more then gave up and went home. I looked for their profile so I could message them but only to find 'user no longer on site'. Win some lose some I'm afraid.

Unless ya sock is from sports direct in which case it'll feel like 40 grit sand paper
