Swear to god in 2+ years (total) on here I've literally had 2 stand ups.

1 of those ^ I ended up meeting a few weeks later anyway.

I tend to plan things ahead and chat quite a lot prior.

Can honestly say in 5+ years only had one "stood up" and they were coming to me.

Had a few cancelled in advance...mostly re-arranged and met later so genuine peeps.

Also had a few swapped several messages then UNLOS....

You develop a "fakedar" after a while!

Have not yet arranged a meet off fab so cant say i have been messed about, had hoped to attend the local social but funds meant i couldnt attend as i aint a free loader

one couple stood us up for an arranged social on the one occasion we went outside of our usual modus operandi...ie I let buns do the arranging. we had a nice meal out anyway because we had a feeling they'd flake on us. we find it pretty obvious very early on who is likely to waste time...the ones who want chat rather than a social, the ones who ask for more and more pictures rather than meet in person, the ones who ask for a blow by blow breakdown of what will happen on a play meet...fantasists, cyber wankers and dreamers are easy to spot generally

We like to chat for quite a while (mostly due to baby sitters so our alone time is precious) but we don't ask for nor expect a photo timeline of your life nor do we discuss what will happen on a play meet in detail. Our idea of a social is just that and to set boundaries in person for a possible play meet. Ess

We only meet bi woman, that brings it's own plethora of timewasters and general pains in the arse. It's all ok though now, we find our jaded and lacklustre approach gets as many results as time and effort, so it's a lot less hassle.

Yep, we got stood up a few weeks ago.

Loads of messages On here, chatted on phone several times, messaging us on the phone up until about an hour before our meet.

We arrived in the pub and it all went quiet...

They even knew we were taking time out of work, so we could meet early.

The absolute height of bad manners. All it would have taken was a "sorry, can't make it" at any point beforhand.

Oddly enough I only got stood up by people I had already met They keep making excuses and then arrange to meet again but after being stood up once I never hold my breath. So I always have something else planned in case.

I think 20 mins late is acceptable when your talking about a 3 hour drive. Anything Could happen beyond your control.

I don't know, but I've always assumed admin wouldn't act on a sole report (to stop malicious false-reporting) but instead would wait to see if a pattern develops.

OP: we've been lucky on this site, but we cut our teeth elsewhere so knew the signs to look out for.

Time has been invested by me in many people but not all of them led to perfect meets. That investment is something to be done if you don't just want to meet at clubs and socials.

Sometimes when a meets not gone well or happened it's been because we didn't communicate that well - including some where I didn't spot that they were likely candidates for not following through with what I wanted - probably including little intention of meeting.

The best thing for me is to learn after each interaction - what wasn't done as well as it could have been? etc.

I think time-wasters often help you develop better picking/wariness skills.

We've had a few but because of the way we do things the process makes sure we don't waste much time.

Within 2/3 messages we ask for a phone chat. We say send us your number we will call you, 50% don't message back.

If they do we call, if its a couple we ask to have the fem talk, if not (heard some "great" excuses) we just block the number.

If single male or female we have a quick chat then send a fairly detailed idea of meet up, possible locations, and its always at a weekend.

We message them the day of meet asking if we ok to ring them. If no reply we do something else, go to a club, or have a naughty night out where miss tries to pull a young guy to bring back and seduce so its not a waste.

We wouldn't drive hundreds of miles away for a meet up, spend money on hotels or take time off work unless we had met them before and we had established a really good connection.

Doing that is crazy in my (mr) opinion.

I don't trust anyone I don't know.

Time wasters are just part of the fabric on here like any such site, learning to deal with it and have a strategy to lessen time wasted is a bonus.

We rang a "couple" at the weekend.

They wanted pics etc, we don't send them out, the ones on the site will give the idea.

So......

He picks up, chats, miss says put the female on "she's on the toilet", hmmm.

Chats another minute whereby miss keeps it non sexual and no info, miss days again to put the female on, "she's just making a cup of tea".

Ok then see you later and don't call us again, "wait,wait he says I will put her on now"......

"She" comes on and sounds remarkably like the male putting in a high pitched voice, we stifle laughs and miss chats while I listen to this "girl" and miss asks female questions about period cycles/pains, which contraception "she" uses, what dress size "she" is and we laugh as "she" can't answer half the questions with anything but (think male squeaky trying to sound female voice) "oh I can't remember, my memory is terrible hehe".

"She" kept asking to put the male back on and when "she" switched back to male it was hilarious.

We told him he had a great female voice and should think about becoming a drag artist, he denied he put a voice on and the female was there, we asked them to talk together on the phone at same time or shout out in the background, but guess what?

She was on the toilet again.

She must have been "full of shit" (pun intended)

This morning her profile has disappeared from here.

I was supposed to meet a couple for a social this Sunday afternoon but Saturday night had turned into a wild 10 hour marathon, I'd completely forgot the social and we hadn't set a fixed time but I did message them back to cancel.. they were so angry!

Met a couple last month for a social and it went great, I'd only planned to stay for half an hour for a coffee which turned into 3 hours and swapped numbers, hundreds of messages were exchanged then it all went quiet, turns out they were arguing cause the amount of messages the girl had been sending me without her telling the guy despite me asking how he was and trying to keep him in the loop. Now, I'm no guidance councillor but surely jumping on fab and looking for a threesome isn't the best way to patch up a failing relationship lol

I once arranged to meet a woman living only ten minutes away, she had cancelled before but thought I'd give her the benefit of the doubt

Arrived and parked down the street as requested., but was about twenty minutes early,. She messaged soon babe soon,every time i asked should I come to your door now,and this went on for over an hour.

Why did I sit there waiting?, well curiosity compelled me to see what was going on, and what was going on was three different men coming and going in that time

The trouble is that a system like that is open to abuse. Anyone can say "so and so had arranged to meet me etc etc". There's no way to prove it's actually true and it could be sour grapes from someone who was turned down.

We've had 2 in 3 weeks first one spoke to for weeks but he did let us know on day of meet and been in touch since so that's ok! the second one spoke for about a week exchanged pics ect ect, arranged to meet in the pub asked him about 5 times if he was Defo gonna show as we had arranged babysitters and didn't wanna waste the opportunity again! even up to 5 mins before he was coming he said he was and then didn't show and has deleted his profile! had it happen more than once seriously frustrating when they know you have to get a babysitter. You do start to get a feeling to the timewasters though the not messaging game or going AWOL I common at the old block why you try to see why they haven't showed. Tempted to put on my profile if your just after a game of wasting time go elsewhere I cba lol

Right up until after the meet time. They were verified, had photos. Seemed genuine. More keen than me etc. Then they didnt turn up, never messaged. Saw them every now and then when I logged on here. Never bothered asking why, not really interested in that sort of people. Im guilty if im a few minutes late to a work meeting never mind something like this!! was a shame as was a really nice couple!

Had few randoms who delete profiles, usually the taken ones who get a sudden rush of guilt!

I don't think I have ever had my time "wasted"... in that I have never gone to a meet and it hasn't happened. There have been people I have chatted with on here that arrange things and then cancel etc. but I don't really view that as time wasted (in that it takes mere moments to respond to and message people)

I think in the 5+ years I have been around, not once have I been on my way to a meet only to get cancelled...

So I suppose it depends on your definition of "time-wasters", I think a lot of people get accused of this because they chat, arrange and then cancel (in good time), is this truly time-wasting?

"We rang a "couple" at the weekend.

They wanted pics etc, we don't send them out, the ones on the site will give the idea.

So......

He picks up, chats, miss says put the female on "she's on the toilet", hmmm.

Chats another minute whereby miss keeps it non sexual and no info, miss days again to put the female on, "she's just making a cup of tea".

Ok then see you later and don't call us again, "wait,wait he says I will put her on now"......

"She" comes on and sounds remarkably like the male putting in a high pitched voice, we stifle laughs and miss chats while I listen to this "girl" and miss asks female questions about period cycles/pains, which contraception "she" uses, what dress size "she" is and we laugh as "she" can't answer half the questions with anything but (think male squeaky trying to sound female voice) "oh I can't remember, my memory is terrible hehe".

"She" kept asking to put the male back on and when "she" switched back to male it was hilarious.

We told him he had a great female voice and should think about becoming a drag artist, he denied he put a voice on and the female was there, we asked them to talk together on the phone at same time or shout out in the background, but guess what?

She was on the toilet again.

She must have been "full of shit" (pun intended)

Till I was at a front door of a house after long chats !!!! Over a period of a week ,

Decided in a late night meet , travelled from my home in Shropshire to Walsall , got to the road , text her , told her I was in her road , no reply , logged on here (fab ) to find the profile , no longer in site ( not blocked ) ,

Rang her , straight to answerphone !!!

The number of the house she gave me was boarded up with the steel shutters !!!!

Totally timewaster !!! Not all bad though , went for a maccies and bumped into an old flame from school ( I am originally from that area ) we chatted , exchanged numbers and we had a casual affair over a period of time ,,

Yeah - we'very had a few disrespectful, discourteous time wasters so we always request a social meet over food at some kinda halfway point.

That way if the other couple doesn't show up we have a meal together and we like our company !

Always message the time wasters and block them - thwy're hardly likely to approve and display a non-meet and waste of time verification!

Remember why you'require on this site, regardless of your preferences and what you have to offer to others. This site does afford chances for playing however, it's our own responsibility to act.

I've just read a profile where the man was most insistent that he is NOT contacted by timewasters because it would be a waste of his and their time. It occurs to me that timewasters enjoy wasting other people's time and so it isn't a waste of time for them to do it and someone who tells them not to contact them.....well, it's like a huge neon advertisement 'come and waste my time'.

Half an hour after he was supposed to land at mine (I'd met him before) I texted him to ask where he was.... the excuse was "I've not been paid".... I'd taken five hours off work to accommodate him, which I could ill afford. So 15 mins later I'd arranged a new shift at work, albeit looking slighlty glam for my elderly clients.... every cloud etc!
