idk, i'd give them cuddles, get them back in bed, tck them in.

then i would try and tell/read them a story that would make them laugh and hope forget about the creepy clown.

if that doesn't work i'd have them come watch tv/imnternet and fall asleep on the sofa where they feel safe coz an adult is around.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Just tell them to settle down again and that it was just a silly person playing a game.

Sing a lullaby (depending on age) or read a story (age dependent, again).

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Some warm milk and a nice bedtime story. Or a bit of quiet music.

Bloody creepy clown craze. I blame t'internets.

If the clown comes back call the police and tell them you're going for the juggler.

As Peter Kaye said don't be worried about the ones outside it's the lunitics on the wardrobe you've got to be worried about!

Oh God I have a fear of clowns!

As others have said it's all about distraction and letting them know they are safe. Put happy thoughts in their heads instead of creepy clowns!

The kids won't have known it was a clown.

If the laugh woke them and the person went on their way.

So tell them the truth. It was a person laughing too loud.
