I always feel bad when someone sends through their pictures and they just aren't my type. Is there any nice way to say thanks but no thanks?

I think "thanks, but no thanks" is perfectly polite.

Brighton - even Hove!

"Thanks but you're not my type" is more than adequate.

That is the nice way, say pretty much that.

There's no point sugar coating it, or dressing it up to be something it's not. Keep it short n sweet.

Nice picture, but you're not my type, unfortunately. I hope you have fun on the site.

"Nice picture, but you're not my type, unfortunately. I hope you have fun on the site. "

That's nearly always what I say, but still feel bad saying it.

I'll let you know when it happens.

Things usually just fizzle out if I've been messaging someone I'm not attracted to.

I prefer to get a handle on their personality before I make a decision solely on looks.

I've changed my mind about people based on that.

What is it you feel bad about - hurting their feelings, you having the right to say no or have preferences?

You shouldn't say you are a softie on here.

"I always feel bad when someone sends through their pictures and they just aren't my type. Is there any nice way to say thanks but no thanks?"

No there isn't really.

I just delete it.

There is no point talking if there is absolutely no attraction at all.

Attraction isn't everything (to me) but it HAS to be there.

It's harsh but true. I know women have said it on here before but replying invites conversation and it's kind of awkward when someone asks specifically why you aren't interest.

No need to feel bad, not everyone is attracted to the same people, if we all were, we'd all look the same!

You shouldn't feel bad about it. You are putting it in a polite way, and they'll find someone who is their type. Better to be polite but honest up front, than drag it out. Nobody wants a pity chat, best that they move on to someone who wants to chat to them OP

I don't mind being brutal and deleting a message without replying.

It's a big pond here...

I would always thank them for their message and say they weren't what I was looking for. Unless they were rude. Then I'd delete and block.

I find saying not my type is a bit meh. Prefer to say 'sorry, we're not a match'.

Providing they've sent a nice message and not a vat of cock pics.
