Now I know there's a list of the acceptable websites that can be posted on the forums but surely when you're sending information via PM why are web addresses blocked?!

Is there a reason for that or are all websites blocked?

I tried to send a link to a thread on here via PM and it came up blocked...

Probably a question for Admin but does anyone actually know the answer?

Unsolicited (i.e. your first mail to someone) websites are always blocked to help stop spammers. This is part of a package of anti-spam measures we have in place.

(Although to be fair we probably shouldn't be blocking links on Fab)
