Im struggling to find ones that hold up alone & ones that feel comfortable with suspenders. I think it's because my legs are long but chunky.

Can anyone recommend a good make to buy?

I have some from Ann summers that stay up perfectly fine with no suspenders, they have the rubbery stuff on the inside of the tops.

They normally have an offer on buy 1 pair get another half price x

I find hold ups are very poor recently, never had a problem before but have had too many times when I've limped in to work with one sliding down my thigh .

I find with suspenders it's not the stockings that are the problem but the suspender belt, a well fitting one with good straps coupled with stockings that fit properly does the trick. Does anywhere like Long Tall Sally sell stockings?

F&F glossy ones. Swear by them. Look good. Nice tops but not lace. Never ever had a problem with them sliding down. Where others I have.

primark do a fabby hold up for £2.50 with a great grip just remember to lick round the top of your holdups rubber strip before you put them on your saliver then gives a stay on all night hold even when you play

I prefer to buy cheaper ones as I tend to ruin them quite frequently. Especially in clubs!

Also I remember being told not to moisturise my legs beforehand as this can stop the 'sticky bit' sticking so well

Very true. Been there done that. Not sexy when your stocking tops are below your knees.

"Try googling your query "

Better to ask people who have tried & tested the products

Bought a pair of sticky top stockings from John Lewis and they so far have been really quite good at staying up.

Ann Summers are great or M&S which are half the price. I have chunky thighs too so I understand your frustration.

I swear by the John Lewis ones, which have a wider band of silicone. Though if wearing them a long time find I sometimes get a rash.

M&S trust me! My thighs are like tree trunks and they are the only brand that work for me.

I agree with Primark... I have long chunky legs and their stockings fit great.

They even have some really good seamed ones.
