Easily forgotten on the day when ObL was killed, this is the anniversary of the death of Oliver Reed who, if he wasn't a swinger was at least a serial shagger and womaniser.

He died after a drinking and arm-wrestling session in The Pub in Valletta with a handful of matelots.

They walked back to their ship and he died in an ambulance on the way to the hospital.

Another good man gone

Matlock

An Olly Reed legend has it that when he was filming the nude wrestling scene in Women in Love he kept disappearing behind a screen for as he put it "a quick Jodrel" so that he wouldn't be outdone by Alan Bates.

I adored this guy and named my son after him.

A hero to many, me included.

It would have been great to see him in 'I'm A Celebrity....'.

Now that would have been worth watching! R

(She/ her) in Sensualityland

Great actor - powerful and larger than life in many ways. Also despite his public persona a rather vulnerable and sensitive man ...

I must say I found oliver reed a great Actor on the cinema screen, yesterday I Was playing some musicals thinking of Christmas time and one song I Immediately recoqnised from the film oliver twist where nancy, bill sykes (oliver reed) ladyfriend was singing as Long as he needs me refering to bill Sykes, such a sad end for nancy and almost bullseye his faithful english Bull terrier and how the crowds jostled and screamed for his Capture as he tryed to escape through The skylights of london a great actor I don,t think I can think of a better one for that role, he had everything In nancy and murdered the only person who probabily ever loved him and almost bullseye who tried to protect Her always sad but looking back at British movies in general and a Accolade of actors we have a lot to be Proud of..
