Look what I made mum...

When I was at school I made an cross stich of apples in a basket. The apples were square and it took me ages (I was 5) I also made a teapot stand (does anyone still use a teapot?)...both of which I proudly bought home to show my parents.

They still have them to this day.

What things have your parents kept from your school days?...or have you kept your childrens projects?

i made a match box holder in my first woodwork class that my parents still have tucked away in the kitchen years later... and they have a few of my needlework things.

I've got an england flag my elder lad made and a plastic teddy with light up eyes that my younger one made in electronics lol

When at Grammar School I competed in and won the school cup for singing.

When my mum died and I was clearing out her house, I found the piece of paper that the comments had been written on. I had compltely forgotten about it, but I do know my mum was so proud. And yes I still have it in my mums memory box

Its funny this came up... Seen loads of stuff my mum has kept from us as kids lately.. We have also kept pictures and small pottery things ours made...

Like little time capsules in the head eh...

My nephew made a papier-mâché vagina in art for part of his a level project. Don’t think I would be putting that on the mantle piece.

I made a batman outfit last night I and it was so dam cool! All those muscles stretching the latex he he he. Buttocks like two peaches in black clingfilm.

Thinks went great till I fell off the garage

hey my parents also have a cross stitch cup mat from my primary school days. they also had a stool that i made as a project in wood work. alas only managed to make one thing in wood work before being kicked out. as the only girl i used to go round stabbing the boys with my chisel. they decided to get there own back one day and the teacher walked in to find them putting my head in the vice. enough was enough and i was left to walk the play ground during wood work lessons, and thats when my smoking habbit started.

Parents split up here so I don’t think any of the vain creative attempts I made. My mother does have tome embarrassing sports day videos though

And Sarah wasn't the only girl to sell her knickers lol

My son (23 now) made a clay pig at school. It was supposed to be a money box but the slot wasn't big eough to take even a 1p! It still sits on the bedroom windowsill, minus it's tail for some reason! I have also kept the mothers day and Easter cards he made when he was little

In woodwork, I made a shark, which still hangs on my Mother's kitchen wall

and in metalwork I made a mouse from mild steel and wrought iron, which is still in my Mother's house somewhere

They've both lasted well for 33 years - don't get qualioty like that anymore
