Absolutely terrifying. I don't do masks or clowns or anything that disguises a persons face, alot is gauged by facial expressions and that's taken away with a big smile or whatever painted on. I would probably have a heart attack if it was happening round our way.

Reply privatelyReply in forumReply +quote

They terrify me, not just clowns, pretty much any costume. Especially if I can't see the person's real face. I even struggle with people wearing face paint.

"If it's the one from "It" then shit yeah....scarier than a spider tap dancing across my floor waving at me.

I was just reading this thread and thought instantly of Stephen King's "It" - Pennywise, and the one that kept turning on on the first series of Ashes to Ashes.

I've never had a clown phobia however.

Only when I joked with my eldest earlier about them.

Little one to eldest after he closed his curtains "have a terrible night"

Eldest laughed, backed out the room, came downstairs and considered reopening little ones curtains just to pay back.

Totally normal I suggested his response should have been "I'll try, look out for the clown under your bed"

Shit mother of the year award goes to me!

I watched the clip of Pennywise telling a joke in the library in It. Imagine being in the audience for Michael Macintyre's Live on my Christmas DVD Kerching and he introduces the first act, whose a comedian talking about emoticons or something and then he or she goes off and Pennywise comes on and tells that joke and then gives Macintryre a balloon and then eats Macintytre and no one else seems worried about this and then he looks directly at you and says "They all float down here...their heads are so empty" and starts eating the front row of the audience and you shit yourself and run out just as he gets to the bloke in front and there are bits of gore all over the tub of icecream the bloke was eating and as you escape into the daylight you see the clowns from Clowntown ripping apart a group of tourists from Colchester or somewhere, wiping their lips on their jackets, and you run and run and run and run and at one point you shit yourself again, and in the distance you heard Pennywise start to tell some more jokes, and they are better than Macintyre's.

Watch the tv/film "IT" starring tim curry. If your not scared of clowns, you'll be put off by them watching this tv/film classic from 1990.

Tim curry = scary
