"Because it's "Trendy" to say you are, even of you are not. Pretty much like here. H Try announcing you are bi to people and see how hip and trendy you feel " What makes you think I haven't?, all my family, most of my friends & work collegues, i've known i've been bi since I was 11 active since 15 and if I add up the years I spent in sole ff or fff relationships they pretty Much match the 14yrs I've been with S. I only made the comment as I do not think there are any more or less bi guys & girls around, maybe the figures do show that it might be more accepted so people are happier to say so, but our experience so far on here also tells me that what I said applies to some as well. I do however understand that the average heterosexual trog will go "cool" when a girl says they are bi & "Urgh" when a guy does the same..So my experience as a female will be different to yours as a male & possibly much different to a lot of other fems because of the life choices I have made, basically being pagan & fae, where people are far more open and accepting of others & their sexuality.. With love H

"Before I joined fab i'd of said that women had a greater propensity to be bisexual than men. I've known a number of women before i joined fab that were bi, but even tho i knew gay men i couldnt really say i knew any bi men. It was some what of a shock then, after joining fab and reading the forums and getting messages from guys. The amount of bi guys that were really out there. We live in a society that is very much not ok with bi/gay men and I think a lot of guys hide their inclinations. The anonymity of the internet gives them confidence to reach out and try and meet other people with the same preferences " well Teresa appreciates all the Tory leader she said in her broadcast

"I felt obliged to put bi on my profile because I enjoyed a woman, sexually. Although, when I had straight on my profile and made a comment about liking pussy and enjoying licking them, not one person rushed to my profile to out me. Which is what happens very often to men on here. "

"I agree entirely with Random. I was a teenager in the 90's and it was very much a more accepting generation of sexuality, I found group sex with men and women to be a very exciting and liberating activity and thoroughly enjoyed partying in this scene. A very good gay friend of mine always said that homophobic men were just confused about their sexuality and so used homophobia as a way to deflect attention from their desire for sexual contact with men. I prefer women to men, but it's more about the person/people than their gender. " Morgan Freeman said 'homophobia isnt a fear, you're just an asshole' Beard

"I could be wrong, but I noticed a decided upswing of fluid sexuality in the 90's with the Chemical Generation. People, & in particular men, reassessed the importance they placed on certain attitudes including sexuality. The advance of the Internet & technology has also made hooking up with others far easier from the comfort of your own home, on the move & in general terms. Society has also made it's advances with the advent of Civil Ceremonies & Gay Marriage, so on the whole the younger generation have become more accustomed to being with the same sex as the norm. Perhaps the fact that today younger folk have less opportunity to have their own home & remain longer with their parents has affected things too. So they find it easier to hook up at someone else's than at home. There's a host of other factors probably come into play too, but I still think there's a long way to go before everyone is completely at ease with people being Bi or Gay, & some sections will always find it abhorrent or against their institutionalised thinking, rather than the truth of the matter being that sexuality is a fluid scale for the majority of us. " A considered reply but I still think it wide of the mark. Kinsey quoted "10% of people are gay". According to the ONS in 2015 in the UK, 1.5% of people identified as gay, bi or lesbian. This rises to 2% amongst 15-24 yr olds (where our rise in numbers presumably stems) and the figure is between 2.7/3% in London. But over-all the figures are small. There have been some recent milestones (if you really want to do what straight people do and get married) but it's lip service by the Conservative Party - their Clause 4 moment, if you will. But as legislation in other areas of the law, notably gender equality or black rights, it's it's not enough to make a law and think everything's gonna be fine now... But, just on a personal note of acceptance, I've had more shit from gay men about being bi than I ever had from straight people

Most guys on here think me sucking them off in a car is what I'm here for, well think again. It's all horny married "straight" guys. I hope they catch something.

" Just listening to LBC and they are having a discussion about why in the last 3yrs in a poll being bi has risen by 45% ,is this due to more tolerant society ? ,discuss xx " I wasn't asked in this poll, as I'm sure a vast majority on here and over the uk were not asked. Therefore, the results can't really be treated as accurate, not this time nor last time, so any increases are strictly in the group which was polled.

"Then its how does the individual define bisexuality? Go in town any weekend and see girls snogging girls...if asked "im not bi, its just fun" so lipstick lovers? Does thinking about acts with the same sex define as bi? Or is it actually doing the act? Terms are always very black and white, straight, bi, gay, ect ect....there are various shades of grey though....where do they fall in it all? Personally why cant people just be themsevles without worrying about what label do they fall under" I had years of not knowing what the hell I was. I was curious but afraid to experiment, then convinced myself I was wrong, then experimented and freaked out, then played with girls in group scenarios, then finally on my own with a girl, but still didn't really class myself as bi. I thought I was still curious or just messing around. Wasn't til I realised I had a 'type' that I told myself I was actually bi, and about a year later I told some of my family and friends. Up until then if someone had asked me my sexuality I'd have said straight probably
