I don't know if you report in to anyone, but if you do then you're a selfish, fucking idiot. Not only are you not doing your job, but you're in a position now where your staff can't do theirs. You've not only put your job at risk, but theirs.

This is true (I once employed Mrs ddc as a temp so I could win the "sex in the most places at work" competition ),

except in your case OP I have only ever known it to end badly.

Better to leave on your terms now, than wait for one of them , or one of the others, to drop you in it.
