I was doing the shopping earlier and I was surprised when the new fiver came out of the self service machine. It seems to be more plastic and I heard from the one show not long ago that you could wash it in the machine too lol, have you got it yet too?

I tried to tear mine. Not with particular gusto but it's certainly stronger than the old fiver

you can shrink it in the oven.

My first conversation about one in the supermarket yesterday:

Me to cashier - 'ooh a new fiver, that looks good'

Old guy next to me in the queue - ' They are forging them already. They are all foreigners doing it'

Don't know if it was true or not, but I heard that if you put them on a hot wash or in the tumble drier they shrink down like a sweet wrapper.

May just be Internet BS.

Yes, it is a good one that. I reckon mythbusters should try it on quest as an experiment. It might shrink.
