well i drink loads of red wine and i know thta if u drink crap it makes u pissed but if u drink real quality wines like i do then a bottle doesnt get u pissed it just makes ya feel great xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I only drink red that is about 13% ... white that's 11% upwards... but prefer a good champagne...

I can drink wine... and don't really get totally d*unk... had bottle and a half last night... and was still ok.

Think it depends what your used too... I used to be able to drink vodka like it was water... but as I rarely drink it on 5 or 6 glasses and I'm d*unk.

i used 2 drink bacardi, but changed 2 wine, last year half a bottle would have me merry, now im hardened and it takes a bottle to do the same lol

Different drinks effect you different

I cant drink cider, i have no idea why but it makes me quite violent

so i keep off it

Gin makes me as horny as fuck lol

Wine gets be just d*unk, and quite easy then i just fall to sleep

Larger makes me lively drink, where you cant shut me up lol

If Bacardi is my main drink for an evening then I can take anything else without any really ill effects, and I'm fine the next morning!

But if whisky is my main drink, then I have to be careful how much, and what else I drink. And if I overdo it, then I know all about it the next morning!

As has been said, I also understood that good quality wine had a lesser adverse effect in comparison to el cheapo.

One of my real faves at the moment, from a 'drinkability' point of view, is White Grenache, could drink it to a band playing, as they say!

It can't be the quality, can it?

The only things that control how pissed you get are your metabolism and the number of units of alcohol you consume over what period.

The quality might have an effect on how you feel afterwards but not on how pissed you were.

Thought it might be helpful one night to have a glass or three of some rather pleasant Scottish fruit wine I'd bought on a rather lovely weekend.. Lovely at the time and lost a whole day with terrible hangover lol

echo falls, blossom hill etc are cheap wines and crap try a wine at about £7/8 better quality as well and much nicer. i work in a wine shop ans either south africa, oz, chile or kiwi is better

Visited Moniack last year, and in a way it's a bit of a con.

Sadly, nothing is now produced on the site or by the family elsewhere. It's basically made by some commercial outfit, somewhere, and simply labelled as Moniack.
