Anything done by the Crackerjack team-its friday,its 5to5,its...Shite!

Any rock/punk song by the strictly band...right notes but no feel

I fought the Law by green day...sugary sweet and just too "nice"

Any cover version that is just a straight cover of the original is pretty woeful to me...if you're not going to change/enhance/do something clever with the original why bother covering it?

Other abominations include No Direction's murdering of Teenage Kicks/One Way Or Another...Tracey Ullman's desecration of My Girl by Madness (and whilst we're on the subject of Madness...don't even get me started on Maureen from Driving School's cover of Driving In My Car, which was pretty woeful to start with!!).

And to throw my hat into the Zutons/Valerie debate...I actually like both versions personally...not sure I could call a preference for either...like the rawness of the original...but the slick production of the Amy Winehouse/Mark Ronson version is pretty cool too.

The original conveys the emotions of the subject matter at least. The musical score, is brilliant, very dark and depressing tinged with moments of ecstatic nirvana.

The scissor Sisters version makes heroin abuse sound fun but I've heard it's not

i realy liked that but not heard it in yonks.zep obviously better though.

worst cover i can think of apart from xfactor and other crap shows was tina turners version of help taken from the private dancer album.truely dreadful i challange anyone to listen to it
