I've realised that there are many things that I am really passionate about in real life that I hate discussing here in the forums.

Do you have anything similar?

My no. 1 passion I would never discuss deeply on these forums: feminism.

What about you? Or are you all just open books?

In some ways yes, but just so people begin to think about things from a different perspective from theirs. Often means I get a lot of abuse though, on a personal level, but hey ho, its an internet forum

I'll discuss anything unless it's against forum rules.

It's just an opinion. Some people agree some people don't.

I do get caught up in some debates though, often to my detriment.

I've had my fair share of timeouts so I tend to reign it in a bit these days.

Mostly anything goes apart from discussing others and betraying confidence, nor abusing others. And I don't do kiss, fuck etc, like others won't. I like to learn, so any interesting topic is fine. I wish more political stuff would come back. And all kiss, fuck etc had a separate section which I'd never visit.

Well I have done a search for "religion" and the threads I found were overwhelmingly anti-religion, and I didn't see a single post trying to get non-believer to believe. If there is a particular thread you think I should have a look at though I would be happy to read it.

Hm.... That practice is only done by one small branch of one religion, and I wouldn't say it's a feature of "religion" as a concept.

Like CLCC, I have seen much much more anti-religious bashing in my lifetime than anti-non-believers bashing.

I always also notice much more spontaneous anti-religious bashing than anti-non-believers bashing. Like, I can't think of a single time when anyone who is religious has come out and said "You know who I hate? Those atheists." (in fact, pretty much every religion I've been in contact with encourages a practice of love towards non-believers) but actually atheists say that about religious people all the time.

Most religious people I know just practise quietly, while many more atheists are mega concerned about letting people know that they don't believe in a god.

Mainly because of the arguments it brings. Some folk on here believe they are intellectually superior to everyone, and shit all over other peoples opinions. THAT really pisses me off, so i tend to stay away. Usually.

Not topics are really off limit, I'll comment on most subjects.

The ones I tend to avoid on here because I either can't get my POV across properly or I'm not as well informed as others are the politics / religion / the recent feminism one.

I like a heated debate but what I find on here at times if can turn into a 'debate off' between a few people who are at loggerheads with each other, becomes rather boring imo.

Having been Fab-fried in my early days on the forum I now only post innocuous, self denigrating posts, music stuff and general bollocks and crap. My opinions, life, my foibles and my general helpfulness I keep to the offline world and prefer just to be a twat on here.

I will discuss these topics but they either make me think differently of people or they wind me up.

Benefits and the ignorance of it, the people that think that have an abundance of cash and the world on a stick if you're on benefits, it's not like that, I worked for the department for work and pensions for 7 years, it's not like the sensationalised stories you see on channel 5 or read in a tabloid.

Migrants and refugees, when people don't know the difference between economic migrants and refugees/asylum seekers, that's sort of linked in with benefits.

Threads that are about children and the way people bring up their children, it encourages people that don't have children to say how things should be done differently. You can't prep plan everything, you don't fully understand what it entails unless you live that life, I wouldn't comment on having a prostate and how I would look after it because I don't own one. Those sort of threads annoy me, think the last one was about people taking their kids out of school at term time, ahhh didn't like that one!

I tend to avoid emotive topics, or ones that I'm passionate about. I don't think the Internet in general is a you'd forum for informed debate. Anonimity of computer screens does not foster rational debate.

And another thing i dont get, is when people go on about not being racist or prejudiced then go on to define someone by saying things like my black friend or my gay friend or make a point about having transgender friends.

Or describing people as bbcs

Because a fucktoy seems to be something that's used for a guys pleasure? That's how it sounds to me anyway so in that context it is an oxymoron.

That depends on how one interprets

Feminism though.

True feminists embrace everything "woman"

Sex is important for women as men.

Only anti-feminists think it's not.

A woman who is in charge of her own sexuality is the epitome of feminism. Being comfortable enough to know she is submissive, doesn't suggest she's not. It means she's liberated enough to know what she wants and how to get it. Feminists don't have to be anti sex ball breakers or dominatrix's.

Look I really don't give a fuck what she calls herself. That wasn't even why I commented, I said what I said purely because you said that guys sentence couldn't be an oxymoron. I was just saying it could when using it in the context how I interpret what a fuck toy is.
